[YOUR LETTERS] HOW COME ATTORNEY GENERAL CHAMBERS NEVER CHARGE CHC PASTOR TAN KIM HOCK FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT?

I am outraged when I saw a tweet by City Harvest Church Pastor Tan Kim Hock who posted "I ALSO NOTICED THAT UNDER THE SUN THERE IS EVIL IN THE COURTROOM. YES, even the courts of law are corrupt!" Isn't that contempt of court when the trials are ongoing? Singapore Courts have often use Contempt of Court to silence prominent PAP critics such as Alex Au and cartoonist Leslie Chew.

[YOUR LETTERS] TRANSPORT AUTHORITIES FORCING SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS TO DISTRIBUTE FLYERS?

My son is a student in Ping Yi Secondary School. The school has asked my son and his friends to distribute flyers to the public at bus stops to raise awareness about the new feeder bus service 222 in Chai Chee. This is outrageous! Why do you need to use students to raise awareness of a profit driven organisation? Their exams are also around the corner. Why are the transport authorities so desperate now?

[YOUR LETTERS] WHAT IS ICA AND TEO CHEE HEAN DOING ABOUT THE WOODLANDS CHECKPOINT LEAKED VIDEO?

I understand that due process must take place and it might not be so soon for the offender to be charged and convicted. But more than 40 days later, ICA still has not come clean with the public how the video of the Mercedes crashing through the barrier was leaked online. You mean the Government needs more than a month to find out who leaked the video when only ICA personnel can enter the Ops room and only so many officers can retrieve the video? This boils down to either incompetency or a total lack of transparency on the part of ICA. It is time DPM Teo Chee Hean come clean with Singaporeans.

[YOUR LETTERS] PINOYS POLICE PRIME MINISTER

Do the Pinoys really think that they can do as they please in Singapore to the extent of disregarding our Public Order Act which stipulates that a permit is required for any type of public assembly or procession? And they even intend to draw a crowd of 10,000 when it illegal even for one person to protest outside of Hong Lim Park. If it is so easy to just organise a gathering in Singapore (outside of Hong Lim Park), then our opposition politicians like Chee Soon Juan and activists like Gilbert Goh will have a field day organising protests every single day already lah!

[YOUR LETTERS] UPSET WITH GOVERNMENT SPENDING $4.4M TO WOO SINGAPOREAN QUITTERS

I also don't understand why our government would rather spend so much money trying to court these overseas "quitters' to come back than to improve the existing infrastructure and living conditions in Singapore so that lesser people will think of migrating overseas. Does the government value people with foreign educational background or work experience more than those with local experience? What does this say about the standard of our local workforce and educational institutions?

[YOUR LETTERS] We should not support the petition against STOMP

In the name of freedom of speech and internet, STOMP should also not be regulated by MDA and the government because it will signal to them that we are ok with them taking away our right to free speech and the voice of society's conscience. That is why I'm a little surprised that the #FreeMyInternet movement did not say anything to stand up for STOMP when they did issue a statement against the regulation of the Mothership website. I think it is not fair and abit of a hypocrite to support the freedom of one website but not another. We must ensure that all websites are not regulated by the government.
