IS ROY NGERNG BEING CHARGED FOR SPEAKING UP?

He and the rest are being charged for disrupting the YMCA event and causing a nuisance. Was he denied from speaking? Again no, they had been allocated a specific lawn to have their protests, demonstrations and talk. Further to this, they have been given permission to organise protests every month. No one else does this but them. Yet they were allowed at all times even on a day when another event was given earlier permission, they were still allowed.

RISING POLITICAL STAR ARIFFIN SHA: I AM QUITTING ALL POLITICAL ACTIVITIES FOR MY PARENT’S SAKE

As some of you are aware, I was called up to assist in investigations into a possible offence of unlawful assembly on Sept 27th at HLP. This has caused great distress and alarm to my parents. Accordingly I have decided to withdraw from whatever political activities I have been involved in. As advised by my parents to whom I owe a great debt forever unpaid, I will instead focus my energies on my studies and dedicate more time to them and causes they see fit.

BLOGGER: THE HONG LIM PARK PROTESTERS WERE LUCKY

The bombshell landed when a 17 minute video surfaced which showed Roy and Han have marched towards the YMCA stage three times and disrupted the performance on stage with their unruly behaviour. PAP junior Minister Teo Ser Luck who was the VIP for the YMCA event has become the target of Roy & Han when they screamed into the loudhailers demanding him to “Return Our CPF”. Some of the supporters of Roy & Han have even gotten physically close to Teo and displayed signs of aggression.

AVOID HOLDING FAMILY ORIENTED EVENTS AT HONG LIM PARK

The fracas at Hong Lim Park last Saturday was unfortunate, regrettable and, with hindsight, avoidable. Hong Lim Park is the only place in Singapore where legitimate peaceful protests are permitted. The National Parks Board noted that, prior to the turn of events at the site last Saturday, no clashes had been reported at any multiple gatherings, including those with opposing agendas (“No previous incidents with multiple events”; Tuesday).

NPARKS: LAST TIME MULTIPLE EVENTS AT HONG LIM PARK ALSO GOT NO PROBLEMS

The National Parks Board (NParks) has responded (29 Sep) to criticism that it should not have allowed 2 events to take place simultaneously at Hong Lim Park on Saturday (27 Sep). NParks said there have been multiple events – even those with clashing agendas – at Hong Lim Park previously with “no adverse or disorderly incidents”.

KIDS’ PARENTS DON’T WANT TO MEET ROY NGERNG

I've read his interpretation of the sequence of events on his blog, and I don't agree with some of his explanations," said Madam Aun, 55. The protesters, for one thing, did not move away upon realising the performers were on stage, she said. The performance had to be re-started when the children, shocked by the rowdy crowd, faltered before the protesters left. Mr Teo also apologised on Facebook to the YMCA: "The protesters were going after me but it affected the children and the event. For this I feel sorry and would apologise to YMCA and the children for this inconvenience caused because of my presence."

MR BROWN: HAN HUI HUI & ROY NGERNG ARE A BUNCH OF ATTENTION SEEKING INSENSITIVE WANKERS

I am going to come right out and say this. If my daughter, Faith, who has autism, or any of my kids, had been on stage performing that day at the YMCA event, and Roy Ngerng, Han Hui Hui and gang came over to disrupt the proceedings, I would have taken their signs and placards and shoved the lot up their collective arses. I don't care what your cause is. You can protest in your own time and your own space. In fact, NParks gave you your own space, the other lawn, at another part of the park. But noooooo, you wanted to target the minister who was attending the event as a guest of honour.
