WP Chairman, Ms Sylvia Lim, said that The Workers' Party has continued to thrive with a renewed strength, despite going through some "difficult and trying times. This was part of her speech during the opening of WP's new $870,000 headquarters at the Teambuild Centre along Geylang Road on Friday evening.

Workers' Party and Aljunied GRC Members of Parliament Low Thia Khiang, Sylvia Lim and Pritam Singh among others will now have to fend off a 2nd lawsuit after Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council announced that it too would begin legal proceedings against the WP town councillors to recover allegedly mismanaged funds.

Gilbert Goh thinks the legal action against Workers' Party is just a distraction from the problems plaguing Oxley saga and the upcoming Presidential election. He compared this to Ang Mo Kio Town Council's alleged corruption which was mysteriously solved by dismissing a general manager and settled out of public scrutiny.

WP COMMUNITY FUND WALK A RESOUNDING SUCCESS

With the Workers' Party celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, over 500 participants and volunteers turned up at the Punggol Park early this Sunday morning (16 July) to support an inaugural community walk for the WP's Community Fund (WPCF).
