SG NEEDS MORE THAN JUST TALLER HDB AND MORE MRT LINES TO ACCOMMODATE 6.9M PEOPLE

We may be able to accommodate the 6.9 M population with 700,000 more homes, but all in pigeon holes of 50 stories high blocks almost side by side, is not what we see as quality living. Quality living is not how many homes is being built and how long the train lines will be, it is how well the homes are built and how the environment is like without one looking out of the window and all one sees is human beings and another block of HDB flats all over the place.

PAP LACKS POLITICAL CONTROL TO CONTAIN UNHAPPINESS OF OVER-POPULATION?

Much have been discussed on this topic, the arbitrary figure of 10 million is reached top down by the PAP based on optimal economic sustainability supported by an achievable land density. Singaporeans have reacted, like Roy Ngerng, providing the bottom up sentiment. What is left is now the skill to balance, the political skill to achieve equilibrium. Over the last decade, PAP has pushed the limits of letting foreigners in, failing to balance the infrastructure needs and social tolerance. As such, it has resulted in a heavy backlash.

I think the flaws that population white paper brings surpasses all the good things PAP has done as a government. We've seen cracks and flaws of population white paper, which is selective hirings by foreigners, foreigners monopolizing the good jobs, locals being bullied by foreigners at work, foreigners getting bold and interfering with locals politics, foreigners having no respect for the locals and beating up locals.

THE ALTERNATIVE POPULATION WHITE PAPER: MAKE FOREIGNERS DISAPPEAR

The purpose of my campaign (1 year so far) is to show concerned Singaporeans the way to achieve a smaller foreign population and less injustice against the locals without having to sacrifice the overall economy. Wherever possible, my proposed measures will incorporate compassion for certain foreigners but my priority is still Singapore.
