The High Court on Monday (Nov 17) ordered a freeze on the local assets of Madam Weng Yandan, the wife of former tour guide Yang Yin. Yang, 40, is in the middle of a legal tussle over the assets of 87-year-old multimillionaire Chung Khin Chun. He is currently in remand over a separate criminal case, facing 331 charges of falsifying receipts related to his music and dance company.

The niece of a rich widow has successfully obtained court permission to sue the wife of a former China tour guide. Madam Hedy Mok, the niece of 87-year-old Madam Chung Khin Chun, received court approval on Wednesday to add Madam Weng Yandan, wife of Mr Yang Yin, as a defendant in an on-going High Court suit. The duo are alleged to have neglected in their legal duties in caring for Madam Chung and Madam Mok is seeking damages.

Photographs showcasing the lifestyle of former tour guide Yang Yin and his family have surfaced online, amid his legal battle for the control of the assets of a wealthy 87-year-old widow. The Chinese national and his wife Madam Weng Yandan uploaded photos of their holidays in Hong Kong and Japan, as well as a dinner at Jumbo Seafood restaurant on Dempsey Hill and a visit to Universal Studios, Lianhe Wanbao reported on Saturday. The 40-year-old also talked about his wealth online. “Let my cash vault grow towards $50 million! Come on, money, I love you!” he wrote in his blog in September 2012.
