I'M A TRANSGENDER IN SINGAPORE, AND I DON'T SUPPORT PINK DOT

I personally do not need Pink Dot nor a gay pride parade because I live with pride everyday of my life and surround myself with friends and loved ones. I am proud of my career achievements, my life experiences, and not because of my identity. I don’t need an annual virtue signalling parade to make me feel good about who I am. The fact is, I am a Singaporean first, and a transgender second. I would rather be celebrated for the former than for being different as the latter.

PPL AGAINST PINKDOT ARE NOT OLD-FASHIONED, LGBTS ARE THE INTOLERANT ONES!

Our reader defended those who got offended by Pink Dot's advertisement at Cathay Cineleisure. He/she said that people who are against Pink Dot are not old-fashioned or easily offended. Instead, it is the LGBTs who do not tolerate their views and portray them as such. The reader said homosexuality itself is even more old fashioned as it dates back to ancient Greek and Rome. He/she accepts LGBT colleagues and friends but is against those who try to make homosexuality a mainstream culture. What do you think?

LGBT PEOPLE ARE HUMANS TOO, LETS COEXIST WITH THEM PEACEFULLY

People who fall under the LGBTQ category are humans too. They face the same struggles, issues and problems most of us face in everyday life. Jacky has pointed out, and rightfully so, that LGBTQs face harassment, bullying and isolation in Singapore. This practice is not right and I hold that the government and society must take a stand against the bullying and discrimination which "deviants" face in our culture and society.

CHRISTIANS TURN UP IN WHITE ATTIRE TO STAND UP FOR TRADITIONAL FAMILY UNIT

Over the past 2 days, large groups of Christians dressed in white were spotted in the areas of Suntec City and Marine Parade. This symbolic act is part of a campaign by Christian pastor Lawrence Khong from Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC), who called on his congregation and Love Singapore Network churches to don white for their services this weekend.

THOUSANDS OF CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS TO WEAR WHITE IN OPPOSITION TO PINK DOT

Christians will be dressed in white this weekend for their church services in support of the traditional family unit, a move that many see as a statement of opposition to the gay-rights themed annual Pink Dot, which takes place tomorrow. A group of Muslims will likewise wear white when they go to the mosques next week for Ramadan prayers.

FILE A REPORT!

To say this was a bad decision is an understatement. This is a very serious allegation, and since he was the one who brought it up, Mr. Wijeysingha must file a police report. Failing to do so would destroy not just his reputation but that of the Pink Dot movement as well. Like it or not, they are joined together now on this issue. So Mr. Wijeysingha must file a police report; if not for himself, then so it for the Pink Dot movement.

FCBC Family-themed Church Service Draws 6,000 Worshippers Wearing White

Referring to the ongoing debate over homosexuality, Mr Khong said that he was not pushing a religious agenda but taking a stand on a social and moral issue. Adding that he is doing this out of his love for Singapore and the generations to come, he said that he was “confounded” at being described as confrontational. The Pink Dot event in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community that took place yesterday, he noted, was a "political gathering with a political agenda to change the law of our land".

Proof that Gays are Sick People Preying On Our Sons

It has come to my attention the Gays in Singapore are aggressively pushing their unnatural, unhealthy and filthy lifestyle on to other Singaporeans. I do not want to bad mouth them but as a father of two sons, I feel compelled to protect them from the Gays in position of power who have set sights on our young children. It is my duty as a father that I should protect my children.

A reason for conservatives to accept LGBT people

A lot of conservative minded people think that accepting the LGBT community is bad for society. They say, for instance, how accepting the LGBT community will lead to a slippery slope situation where family values will be eroded. The values of restraint, postponement of gratification, and commitment, which conservatively minded people cherish, keeps a wary eye on the LGBT community. This discourse, which has been the dominant one, may actually be less conservative than it sounds.

VINCENT WIJEYSINGHA IS A LIAR

Whatever reservations or sympathy I had on him being a victim of the hideous crime of molest was quickly evaporated when I read the note. I can only describe it as a vile, contemptuous diatribe filled with so much bile, half-truths, unsubstantiated allegations and vicious self opinion designed to damage the Catholic Church here, and to cast improper and unwarranted aspersions against the Church and the Catholic faith as a whole.
