The reason for the water leak is given as a faulty sprinkler, all the way from Changi's Terminal 1 Arrival Hall, although it was not known how the water leak went all the way to Jewel. The affected shop was unoccupied, and based on reports, the issue was quickly attended to and the leak has been resolved.

Last year June I face water leakage issue. As me and top floor neighbour got water proofing issue. We talked to HDB and waited for months but they took their own sweet time to help. After that I went to see my MP even they said they will write in to HDB. HDB also take their own sweet time and got it repaired on this year March. The leaking is so bad as it came out of the electrical switches and water heater switch. Yesterday my top floor neighbour was doing their repair work. About 8pm the leaking start again.And this time round the flow is worst.

Madam Bavani and Mr Gunasekaran who live in their five room flat at Block 532 Hougang Avenue 6 has suffered from a toilet leak for 9 years. The leak in the toilet ceiling caused the wall to be damp and mould to grow in the cupboards next to the toilet. Worse still, the dampness got so bad that 3 years ago, Mdm Bavani got electrocuted when she touched the light switch.

According to reports, the water leakage caused a Singtel shop on the ground floor to close. The water leakage apparently started form a faulty drainage pipe form Awfully Chocolate shop at the second floor. Scary now, are malls in Singapore being constructed too fast that damage pipes are fire hazards are a normal thing now?
