WHAT HAPPENED TO PAP'S VICTOR LYE?

Since the beginning of Singapore, PAP leaders have been instilling unnecessary fear in Singaporeans towards the opposition. LKY claims that Singapore women will work as maids overseas when the opposition takes over while GCT has gone as far as to label the opposition as opportunistic “nomads”

It has been slightly more than a year since the 2015GE and I would like to challenge this notion as pure bullshit.

ABSOLUTELY FAIR FOR PAP BEST LOSER VICTOR LYE TO BE DEPRIVED OF NCMP SEAT

I am truly disturbed by an All Singapore Stuff contributor’s insistence for Victor Lye to be awarded the post of an NCMP (Member of Parliament for Non-Constituency) and beg to differ with his apparent justification and reasoning. Furthermore, such a proposal also goes against the fundamental purpose of the NCMP scheme, which is to guarantee a minimum number of opposition Members of Parliament to check against the dominant ruling party

NCMP SCHEME IS DISCRIMINATORY & UNMERITOCRATIC AGAINST GE2015 BEST LOSER VICTOR LYE

Lee Li Lian is NOT the best loser of this GE! The best loser is fireman Victor Lye who led an all-star team to win 49.05% of the votes in Aljunied GRC, nearly defeating the incumbent WP 'A' team. It is NOT meritocratic to deny Victor Lye the NCMP seat! So what if he is from PAP? He is the true best loser! With his many talents he has much to contribute in parliament!

BOTH THE WP & PAP'S VICTOR LYE INCAPABLE OF IMPROVING MY WELFARE

The problem with the WP is that they're not prepared to win a GRC and run a Town Council and are thus, overwhelmed by these issues to spare enough time to look into resident's welfare besides the occasional kopi sessions and free hair cut. They also do not have a comprehensive backup plan when the PAP advisers cut off the local ComCare assistance following the WP victory. Our plight will go on and on with many more of such stories until the rest of the 60% wake up and put a stop to all these!

IS PAP'S VICTOR LYE TOO BLIND TO USE GRACE FU'S ONESERVICE MOBILE APP TO REPORT MUNICIPAL ISSUES?

If you look closely at the Citizens' Consultative Committee, it is helmed by Chairman Victor Lye, the man who recently was spotted distributing flyers discrediting WP in Aljunied GRC. It is strange that despite being the CCC's Chairman, Victor Lye is oblivious of the correct channels to solve this zebra crossing "problem". If you recall, in January 2015, Minister Grace Fu launched the OneService mobile application which allow members of the public to send feedback over estate cleanliness, infrastructure and other municipal issues to the Government.

SPF: DISTRIBUTION OF ANTI-WP FLYERS BY PAP MEMBERS NOT AN OFFENCE

The Singapore Police Force has issued a statement on a police report made about PAP activists' distribution of flyers in Aljunied GRC. Activists had gone around last week, urging residents to question opposition Workers' Party Members of Parliament about accounting and governance lapses by Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council (AHPETC).

PAP VICTOR LYE: AHPETC TRADE FAIRS ARE ALL ABOUT EARNING MONEY FOR THE WORKERS PARTY

Do not be fooled by this desperate playing of the “victim card”. The record shows that AHPETC trade fairs have hurt shopkeepers due to high frequency and long duration. Instead, Ms Lim revealed AHPETC’s true motive when she said, “The town council has also lost a source of revenue to manage its operations.” It is very clear. AHPETC’s trade fairs are about money. It has little to do with benefiting residents and businesses in the area.

PAP'S POINT MAN VICTOR LYE IN ALJUNIED SPEAKS UP

It is not for me to defend. I state it as a fact. The People's Association is a statutory board and is part of the government. What links are we talking about? The PA's volunteers are representatives of the government. They are a bridge between the government and the people. We help to explain government policies, but that does not mean we agree with all its policies. For example, I disagree with the privatization of mass public transport. It is a public good. When there is a problem with the transport system, people expect the Government to solve it. So, the Government might as well own public transport and let a corporatised entity run it efficiently.
