ROBBER RAPED VICTIMS, FORCED THEM TO MAKE “V” SIGNS IN NUDE PHOTOS

In what seems like a cruel attempt to play out one man's fetish for pornography movie scenarios, a 34 year-old man Tan Choon Keap was slapped with 12 charges yesterday for offences ranging from robbery, outrage of modesty, rape, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation. The court heard that Tan had robbed the home of 2 women on 3rd November last year and had forced them to strip naked and make "V" signs with their hands while he snapped their photos. He threatened to upload these pictures online if his victims made a police report about him.

Alas there is no easy solution. The Israel-Palestinian problem goes back almost a century. The distrust and enmity are mutual, and deep. Yet there is no future in this endless cycle of violence and retribution.
