Looking at the way Singapore Government spends its money, I think there is a lot of room for improvement. There are many statutory boards that can be privatised and should belong to the private sector,such as Science Centre Singapore. Science centre singapore is a statutory board under MOE. They got approximately 70 million dollars of grants from the govt in the past 2 FYs under operating grants from govt and grants from other govt agencies. Cant this 70million dollars be used more prudently for other uses like building better school infrastructure or healthcare, building more ICU units?

I refer to Facebook post by Aqil Alid whose predicament deserves the support of citizens. It is already a struggle for any parent with an autistic child. In this case, his child, Nabil, has almost turned 8 but has not be able to begin formal education. Although he could not assist his constituent, Zaqy somehow managed to find time to defend Singtel after the once in 50 years line outage on 3 December that lasted 24 hours. Zaqy also found time for events such as the BIG Farm Walk and Run but could not even belatedly help Aqil.

My friend son was enrolled Springfield Sec Sch last year, bullies kicked and punch during sec 1, some victims suffered in silent, but my friend brought this up to the principal and what they did was suspend the bully! Justice not addressed n victim continues to go school with fear! This year things escalated to next level, the bullies actually punched my friend son's head twice, unfortunately no witness n that bully of course denied then case closed, despite my friend reported to police n even filed magistrate complain!

Now the haze is so bad, yesterday when you look out of the window, you see nothing but white smog. And what can Singapore do? Nothing at all because we have a useless and incompetent government who dare not stand up to our neighbours. They just have no balls to be the voice for the people. History has shown how they spread open their legs to welcome foreigners and not teach foreigners a good lesson.

The amount that SMRT may be fined for the massive MRT breakdown on Tuesday may be closer to 1 to 2 million Singapore dollars, as opposed to the exaggerated $50 million reported by most news agencies.
