According to our reader, there was a small group of activists stationed around SIM unversity's bus stop to give these flyers to students. GOVT UNIVERSITIES: AVERAGE GRADUATE EARNS S$3,333 SALARY EVERY MONTH

The median gross salaries for graduates from three of Singapore's autonomous universities was 4.91 per cent higher last year, compared to 2014. The mean gross salaries of fresh graduates increased 3.22 per cent on-year to S$3,333 in 2014, the universities said. The median gross salaries saw a 4.91 per cent increase to S$3,200 last year, from the year before, they added.

NTU IS WORLD’S BEST UNIVERSITY UNDER 50 YEARS OLD

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has trumped its great Hong Kong rival to secure top spot on a league table of the world's best young universities. NTU was second, after Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, for the past two years in the rankings for universities under 50 years old but has now claimed pole position, thanks to high scores in most of the judging criteria. That allowed it to pip the Hong Kong institution by less than a single point on the top 50 list released this morning by London- based educational consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

S’POREAN STUDENT GETS PREGNANT PLAYING UNIVERSITY’S FRESHMAN ORIENTATION GAMES

A Singaporean student has become pregnant after playing some of the Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) games organised by one of the local universities. SIM THIRD CLASS HONOURS DEGREE HOLDER EXPECTING $4,000 MONTHLY SALARY JOBLESS FOR 8 MTHS

Out of the hundreds of job applications submitted at various job websites, so far only 2 interviews – one at St John HQ from Jobstreet as a property executive on 7th May 2014 but received unsuccessful notification email on 23 May 2014 after two weeks of waiting and my $4000 (negotiable) expected salary maybe exceeding their budget. The other one from recently launched jobsbank at Shatec as facility executive on 21 July 2014 but till now no news (not shortlisted) and my downsized $3000 (negotiable) expected salary may be exceeding their budget as well.

JOBLESS GRADUATE TOO POOR TO BRING SON TO DOCTOR OR CELEBRATE HARI RAYA

My son had a minor accident on Sunday morning but I still have not brought him to the doctor as I just cannot afford it at this moment. His big toe is infected – I have put antibiotic cream on it and given him panadol.
