20 YEAR OLD WOMAN ARRESTED FOR CONCERTS AND USS TICKET SCAMS

The recent cases of ticket scam online, where buyers are offered discounted tickets to the Universal Studios, as well as the most sought after tickets to sold out concerts involving Coldplay and Ed Sheeran seemed to have been solved, as police have arrested a 20 year old woman. According to reports, she is believed to involved in more than 10 cases of cheating, with Police reports made between February and May this year.The suspect was arrested along Kampong Java Road after the police have conducted extensive investigations to establish the woman's identity.

USS WELCOMES 25 MILLIONTH VISITOR, STILL COMPETITIVE AGAINST THEME PARKS IN MALAYSIA

Read that Universal Studios welcomed their 25 millionth visitor, when two lucky Korean students on holiday in Singapore after completing their school term walked through the USS gates yesterday. 25 million visitors in a space of slightly less than 7 years! Not bad, if anything, it shows that the decision to build the USS was a very good economic plan. Singapore is a very land scarce country, so to be able to use a huge space to cater for a theme park of this size was a big decision. Lately, we have seen our neighbours from across the causeway go all out to attract tourists by building all sorts of theme parks, including Lego Land. Singapore has to do all it can to make sure that we don't lose out in terms of tourists numbers to other newer and better theme parks. We have the capabilities to attract millions to our attractions, we cannot lose this edge.

RIDERS ON BATTLESTAR GALACTICA RESCUED AFTER “TECHNICAL ERROR”

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) ride, The Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon roller coaster experienced a technical error at about 4pm yesterday. Riders of the popular roller coaster were evacuated safely from the lower section of the ride. According to bystanders, the riders were stuck for about 20 minutes.

MAN JAILED 4 MONTHS FOR STEALING 75 USS TICKETS FROM TRAVEL AGENT

A travel agency operations coordinator who stole 75 Universal Studios Singapore (USS) tickets from his employer was jailed for four months on Thursday. Muhammad Syawal Kamis, 25, now unemployed, admitted to the theft of the tickets worth $4,425 when he was working at Ace Tours and Travel at People's Park Complex, Upper Cross Street, on Nov 15 last year.
