PAP LEADERS FLIP FLOP ON AGC ADVICE, CAN WE STILL TRUST THEM?

On Wednesday in Parliament, Sylvia Lim pointed out that the PAP Government had couched the decision on how to count the Elected Presidency under a legal cloak by claiming that this was the Attorney-General's advice. This was done to avoid any rigorous challenge in Parliament. But now Shanmugam claims it was never suggested that that the decision to count from Wee Kim Wee was made because of the AGC's advice. How can you trust the PAP after this?

GOH CHOK TONG WARNS S'PORE WILL SLIP INTO A 3RD WORLD NATION IF WILLFUL ATTACKS ON INTEGRITY ARE ALLOWED

In Parliament today, ESM Goh Chok Tong lamented that the public Lee family squabble has been blown out of proportion but he was not concerned with the feud or the fate of 38 Oxley road. He warned instead that willful attacks such as those employed by Lee Wei Ling and Lee Hsien Yang would caused Singapore to slip into a third world country if public faith was eroded.

21 REASONS WHY THARMAN'S CALL FOR CONFIDENCE IN PAP IS MISPLACED

In his Facebook post, DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam called on Singaporeans to “have confidence” in the present system of governance, adding, “You can count on PM Lee Hsien Loong and all of us in his team for that.” To have confidence in the government, Singaporeans need transparency. So before the DPM asks for trust in Mr Lee Hsien Loong's team, the PAP must first account for and explain:

S'PORE POLICE NEEDS TO EARN THE PEOPLES TRUST, NOT EXPECT IT

A country does not just run on money it runs on trust, trust in public institutions like the police force and the government, this trust has to be earned and not just expected. If the police felt that this may have "sow distrust from the Police.” maybe the police force needs to look at their own actions and see if they might have sown distrust in themselves. I think the police in singapore have a very hard job and they need to be paid more and i totally appreciate them for their hard work however i think the Singapore police are victims of a political system that may at times make use of them for the purpose of fear mongering.

THIS BOY WHO IS A SERIAL CHEAT & BURGLAR! DO NOT HIRE HIM!

Would like to warn employers in Sg of this boy Song Jian wen, we knew him by the name of Randy. He was our staff and he broke in to our store during the early hours of 4th Jan 2016. I felt like a fool for believing he has a good nature, perhaps just bad circumstances. So what we are dealing with here is a serial burglar but we were lucky to have only lost a few thousand. Would like to highlight he targets small businesses esp Fnb, his last job before ours was at a new cafe in East coast. Best way to recognise him is that he has no teeth and grey gums

CAN WE TRUST THE POLICE TO BE IMPARTIAL & GIVE US JUSTICE?

The police chose to take no action against a hooligan who punched a driving instructor. Yet the person who slapped Amos Yee was arrested and jailed. Why the difference in standards? Based on my understanding, Voluntarily Causing Hurt is a non-arrestable offence. So that means if you punch someone, you won’t get arrested? Let’s go try it now! Can we really trust in a system that works in favor of the offender?

DR CHEE: PM LEE FAILED TO EXPLAIN 5 MONTHS DELAY IN HEPATITIS C OUTBREAK

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong recently commented on the hepatitis C scandal, saying that “we also always have to be open and transparent with the public and with the patients about what has happened because we must maintain public confidence, and trust in the healthcare system.” Undoubtedly. Mr Lee, however, omitted that there must also be trust in the political system to ensure the safety of the people. He failed to mention that the Infectious Disease Act (IDA) mandates that infectious diseases be promptly reported to Ministry of Health (MOH).
