SDP: AUTHORITIES MUST ENSURE TRIVELIS RESIDENTS ARE GIVEN FAIR COMPENSATION

The on-going problems that residents at the Trivelis are experiencing with their new Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) flats, a scheme of the HDB, must be addressed by the proper authorities. It seems that the host of defects of the flats are serious and fall far short of the quality promised by the developer, EL Development (ELD), which has resulted in many of the owners having to spend money to rectify the faults. TRIVELIS DBSS BUYERS ARE CHEAPSKATE AND UNGRATEFUL

I think the people complaining about all the defects in the Trivelis DBSS project need to wake up their idea. If you buyers can afford more than a couple hundreds of thousands for more expensive DBSS flats instead of buying simple and cheap units like everyone else, then why are you complaining so much? The Authorities have delivered on the promise of giving the public cheap affordable housing, and you buyers willingly pay extra for some extra features, so why should you buyers insistently harass the Authorities to keep making good on defects when you can clearly afford further private renovations yourselves?

DBSS FLAT OWNERS ANGRY OVER HDB’S POOR QUALITY WORK

In the latest incident of defects in public housing flats, owners of the new Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) flats in Clementi are up in arms over the poor quality of their new homes. Some 500 residents of the 800-unit Trivelis development in the area had to contend with shattered shower glass panels and narrow common corridors that are prone to flooding after they received their keys to the new flats in January.
