Taxi commuters in Singapore will be getting the short end of the stick soon as taxi giant ComfortDelGro will introduce Uber-style dynamic pricing, also known as surge pricing, where fares can possible skyrocket to five times the usual rate.

According to a Facebook user Samantha, her mother was taking Transcab SHB7843H to work on Monday morning at 8.30AM when she met with a reckless driver, who caused an accident with a lorry that broke 11 of her ribs on both sides of her chest. She was left with internal bleeding in the lungs and spleen and is lying seriously injured in the hospital.

Received a call earlier in the morning from Transcab on 3rd January 2017, this operator was more responsible than the other 2 whom I spoke to 3 days ago. He specifically asked for landmarks where I board and alight. XiangRui called me less than 10 minutes later to tell me that he as located the driver, Mr Mark, and he has my laptop! Hooray! I asked him if they (XiangRui and Mr Mark) would get any recognition or appreciation from the company if I wrote in to compliment them. Mr Mark sadly replied me saying that there is no point in writing the letter, as their company does not bother.

I took a Trans cab from Serangoon North Ave 5 to Whampoa Road. Left my MacBook Air together with a laptop sleeve and some notes on the cab. Chased after the cab, but driver didn't stop.

Took a cab from Transcab Services Pte Ltd at 2.24 am after work today from Clarke Quay with my sister and the taxi driver started speeding at 130km/h at Kampong Java Tunnel, cutting across lanes dangerously without signalling * there were a lot of cars on in the tunnel and on the expressway as well. We repeatedly asked him politely to slow down the vehicle. The uncle made us get off at a bus stop at Jalan Bahagia and expected us to pay the taxi fare if not he will call the police. Of course, we have no idea about our rights about "fare evasion" or what so we just paid the fare in cash (he didn't want to accept nets) and got down to take another cab home.

Actually this Transcab driver has been caught on video in January and April 2014 pulling the same reckless sudden lane change stunt on other unsuspecting drivers. 2 years since the last video of this driver's reckless driving, he is back at it again and does not seem to have learned him lesson. He continues to driver recklessly and abruptly, causing inconvenience and distress to other.

I am utterly disappointed with the transcab service. I simply don't understand how can driver be so desperate for money. I paid the driver using my Nets card, with the machine showing that it is approved. He claims that it wasn't approved. I then log in to my banking application to show him the evidence that the transaction has already been through. When I tried to show him, he not only hit my hand off but keep extorting me and my companion to paid the fare which has already been paid.

I want to share a true encounter this morning about an incident which a taxi driver ripped me off an additional 90 cents( it's just 90cents yes i know, but it's the behaviour and integrity that digusts me).

A dangerous and rudest taxi driver! in Singapore. We took his cab from SGH to Tiong Bahru. He was not happy with our short destination and start making angry sigh sounds while driving impatiently. We tolerated his nonsense until we reach our destination where he dash across a huge road bumper until it hit our baby's head. My poor baby start to cry frantically. He had jabs earlier n now trauma of being hit in the head. I scream at him to slow down and he start cursing Vulgar, he said he cannot see the HUMP, again he drive and brake hard. Instead of apologizing, he came out from the cab and provoke a fight. He start uttering vulgarities and even told my wife to fuck in the ass and many more.
