A reader sent us this story he found on Hardwarezone forums: "i was driving along TPE, behind a long line of other cars. traffic was average. i was 100% sure i was not speeding, i was just cruising behind a long line of traffic. suddenly, out of the blue, TP bike flash me to pull over and say he clocked me at 126 km/hr. i say WTF, i was not speeding, either your eye got stamp or your machine spoil. he still gave me summon. of course i did not want to pay, so i appeal 2 times but fail. WTF man, they can suka suka just do this one meh. in the end become court case. i ask judge how come they can charge me for something i did not do. i ask for video evidence the prosecutor say no have."

IGNORANT TRAFFIC POLICE TRIED TO SCARE STUDENT DRIVER WITH FAKE HANDPHONE RULE

Apparently, a traffic police officer tried to charge a student for using his mobile phone at the red light. The TP claims that it is a chargeable offence. Luckily for the student, his teacher previously uploaded a photo of an LTA enforcement officer using his mobile phone while stationary at a red light. The student bravely showed the image to the TP and shut the TP up for good.

I like to bring to your attention something that I noticed when I was on the roads. If you look closely at the bikes ridden by Traffic Police, they have CCTV cameras attached in the front and at the back of the bike. So along the way if the CCTV catch anyone speeding or using handphone, they will still be able to saman the driver even though the TP may not see it with his own eyes.

I WAS CAUGHT SPEEDING

I was involved in a Court Case for speeding - I had exceeded 40 km/h driving at 110+ on a 60km/h road. It was after 10PM and there were very few cars on the road, so I stepped on it wanting to get back home quick. A week later, I received a nasty letter of summons from Singapore Traffic Police asking me to attend Court. At the Sub Court, there were loads of other people in the same boat as me. Thankfully, I was fined just $500 and slapped with a 12 points Demerit.

MALAYSIAN MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN CRASH INVOLVING 6 VEHICLES

A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a six-vehicle chain collision yesterday morning that left him pinned between a minibus and a tipper truck. Mr Sashivarman Murugakandar, a 22-year-old Malaysian, was pronounced dead at the scene at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Avenue 1. The pile-up involved a tipper truck, two cars, a motorcycle, and a minibus. A lorry in the next lane was also hit by one of the cars in the crash.
