NEW LEARNER DRIVERS MADE TO GO THROUGH SIMULATOR TRAINING

Motorists who are still learning to drive or ride their vehicles will have to undergo mandatory simulator training from the start of 2019, through the use of driving or riding simulations that will be made available at driving schools here. Trials will commence at all three driving schools to allow Class 2B, 2A, 3 and 3A learner motorists to undergo simulation training by the first quarter of next year.

TP SUMMONED ME FOR BEATING RED LIGHT – ASKED FOR CONFIRMATION BUT THEY HAVE NO EVIDENCE!

I was given a summon by the traffic police for beating a red light at bendemer area. I was taken by surprise as I did not remember doing so. After going down to the traffic police to demand the evidence of such action, the officer told me " This type of offence cann appeal one. Once you see the picture you will know and confirm cannot appeal." I felt offended as I just wanted to confirm that I did committed an offence for beating the traffic light.

TP MISPLACED CALL FOR WITNESS SIGNBOARD, NO JUSTICE FOR MY DECEASED SON

Since from April 2011. STOMP dare not post my son's accident case until today 12 august 2016 ( 6yrs) ago..Traffic police had put the fatal witness signboard on the wrong place a miles away without notice they had put it wrongly. I'm the father of the deceased stanley seah in the fatal accident on the 12 april 2011. Would liked the Traffic police to explain to the netizens. After being imform to TP wrong accident place display witness sign board to the traffic police, a week later after the funeral then the TP put the signboard on the correct premises.

PASSENGER ON SBS8846A: SBS BUS DRIVER DID NOTHING WRONG!

She was deeply traumatised by the commotion caused by the writer and the PMS auntie in the bus. According to my mum, the driver was not speeding and the road was bumpy due to the construction of the Thomson MRT line. U can see the driver wearing safety gloves to stabilise the steering wheel of the bus. Throughout the journey the PMS auntie was hurling abuses at the bus driver and the writer stood beside the bus driver and took pictures of his face. The writer held his phone close to the driver's face and shoot his face!

OPEN LETTER OF COMPLAINT TO SBS, TP & LTA ABOUT SBS DRIVER OF SBS 8846A

Although I have never experienced the kind of terror that the passengers experienced in this video, but this incident has hit too close to home. I am now genuinely afraid for my safety and my family's safety whenever I board SBS bus 269. Even worse is the unrepentant and arrogant manner of the bus driver, who did not even bother to slow down or apologise for his reckless driving. Instead, when his passengers scolded him and asked him to slow down, he got angry and drove even more recklessly, weaving in and out of lanes as in the video. Is this the kind of service standard that we are to expect from employees of your company?

TP RAISES DRIVING TEST FEES, INTRODUCES NEW CLASS 3 LICENSES

The Traffic Police (TP) announced that fees for their theory and practical tests will be raised from 1st June because of "rising operating costs". Fees for the Basic Driving Theory Test, Final Driving Theory Test and Motorcycle Riding Theory Test will be increased from $6.00 to $6.50, while those for the Practical Riding Test, Practical Driving Test and Proficiency Driving Test wil rise from $20 to $26 from 1st June 2015, and will rise again to $33 on 1st June 2016.

You see the photo sent by your contributor, the policeman so helpful, help to push the big MPV himself while the driver steers the vehicle. He is probably pushing the MPV so that it will not block the traffic. He can wait for the tow truck but instead he take the initiative to help push the vehicle so that it will not inconvenience other road users. Thumbs up to this TP for his exemplary showing!
