TOWN COUNCIL RATHER FOCUS ON UPGRADING NEW FACILITIES THAN SOLVE PIGEON PROBLEM

I really don't know what those people at marine parade town council is thinking, the blocks in my neighbourhood are filled with pigeon roosting all over the expansion room area and leaving their waste matter all over the balcony areas to the extent you can't even open your windows on days that have no winds because of the smell from the waste. These areas are not able to be cleaned by residents unless TCs used scaffolding lifts due to it's height and inaccessibility. Other problems include damaged lift doors and lift lights and as well dangerous walkway tiles that are cracking and popping up that has been made known to then for god knows how many times and no one ever comes to fix them.

TIN PEI LING: BEING A MOTHER IS NOT A WEAKNESS, WE ARE EQUALLY CAPABLE

Last night, Mr Cheo Chai Chen in his rally speech said my new status as a mum is a weakness (see below). I disagree. I am committed to MacPherson. I returned to work soon after delivery (two weeks to be more exact) because I want to continue to serve. I am confident that even as a mum I can continue to focus on my work in MacPherson. Women today are well educated and certainly capable of contributing in the workplace and in society.

NSP CHEO CHAI CHEN: TIN PEI LING BEING A NEW MOTHER IS A WEAKNESS

NSP's Cheo Chai Chen cited his twenty years experience as an MP as an advantage in the three-cornered fight in Macpherson SMC. Cheo is facing PAP's Tin Pei Ling and WP's Bernard Chen in the newly carved out ward. He also added that: “The PAP’s Tin Pei Ling has been working very hard. But she has just given birth, so voters should let her go home and rest, and take care of her child...In general, mothers love their children, so they spend a lot of time with them. If voters choose her, she might focus more on her child than on her voters. This is her weakness"

RESIDENT: I AM UNIMPRESSED WITH PAP’S PERFORMANCE IN MARINE PARADE GRC

In case you are unaware, an MP is supposed to be matured to begin with, reflect the problems of his/her constituency to the government and debate, shape laws and policies in chambers, not just hugging elderly and kissing babies to make up for the inefficiencies. Judging from the performance (or absence) of MPs Tin Pei Ling and Sitoh Yih Pin, I hope voters of both wards will look beyond the artificial aesthetics of their "work" and dive straight into issues that matter most to the Singaporean core.

TIN PEI LING LIKELY TO PREVAIL IN A 3 CORNER FIGHT

To the dismay of many pro-opposition supporters in Singapore, it looks like MacPherson SMC will be heading for a 3-corner fight for coming General Elections with NSP doing a dramatic U-turn to say that they will, after all, contest in MacPherson when they had earlier relinquished their claims. This flip-flopping of whether NSP will run in MacPherson did not go down well with netizens as many criticised them for being irresponsible and opportunistic; or even sabotaging the plans of Worker's Party
