The father of the first woman who was detained under the ISA has expressed regret for not reporting her to the authorities. Mr Manaf did not seek help as he thought his daughter was getting better after she started watching movies and stopped wearing the niqab - a full veil that only leaves the eyes visible. He said she was good at hiding whatever she was doing. It was only until she was called up for investigations did he realise that she got worse. Mr Manaf also regrets throwing away his daughter's documents which detailed her plans to move to Syria. He said he did that out of frustration and disgust. Now that he regrets it, he is encouraging other people who face similar problems to alert the authorities or the Religious Rehabilitation Group once they notice suspicious changes in someone.

A man shot a Chinese-born Australian to death and took another person hostage at an apartment in Melbourne yesterday. Australian police are treating this as a terrorism-related incident since the Islamic State has also claimed responsibility for the attack. The culprit was a 29 year old Somalian man named Yacqub Khayre. Police are still going through the materials seized to confirm if this is indeed related to terrrorism.

A 32 year old man in India was arrested by the police after faking a terror plot in order to avoid going on a holiday with his online girlfriend. Motaparthi Vamshi Krishna's girlfriend had asked him to take her on a trip even though he did not have enough money. He did not want to reject her so he came up with a plan to send her a fake air ticket and make the airport cancel the flight. His way of doing this was to send a hoax email to the police about hijacking planes in various Indian cities. His fake tip off resulted in tighter security at airports in Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai but no flights were cancelled. Krishna was arrested for charges such as impersonation and providing false information. He is a travel agent who is already married with a child. Wah, so romantic. Got so desperate not?

Her neighbour has been terrorizing her family for years. The neighbour lives downstairs. She has been shouting abuses from the common corridor of her unit downstairs. From the photo, you can see her spraying water out of her kitchen window. In the video, she was aiming it at her neighbour's laundry. She even throw pork at my friend's sister's door! This has been happening in Tampines for 6 years!

Malaysian police have detained three Muslim men suspected of wanting to go to Syria to join the militant Islamic State group, a senior police official said today (Sept 26). The three were detained yesterday at the Kuala Lumpur international airport while waiting for a flight to Turkey, said Mr Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, who heads the national police counter-terrorism unit. “From Turkey, the men were planning to make their way to Syria to join the Islamic State terror group,” Mr Ayob Khan said.

Germany banned images and activities linked to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham on Friday, including social media support and display of the militant group's signature black flag. Germany's Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said that ignoring the ban - which also covers participating in demonstrations or supporting the group financially - "is a crime with immediate effect."
