SPEEDING CAR CRASHES INTO BUSHES AT CHANGI AIRPORT T2

A car drove into the bushes at Changi Airport Terminal 2 yesterday evening. An onlooker described the white car as driving at high speed before mounting the kerb and crashing into some bushes near the terminal's coach stand. The driver was not reported to have suffered much injuries. His car was not damaged either.

DESIGN OF T2 FLAWED, CAUSED SMOKE FROM SMALL FIRE TO SPREAD QUICKLY: EXPERTS

The experts said that it is the design of the terminal building itself was the main culprit on how the smoke spread to the whole building. According to them, the room which contained the air-con that as the cause of the fire, was not well ventilated. Due to this, the smoke from the small fire spread quickly to other parts of the terminal. Experts have warned that having air-con in a room that is not well ventilated is not safe. This is clearly demonstrated in the Changi Airport fire, where the smoke spread quickly even though the fire was small and was contained immediately.

UNKNOWN FIRE @ CHANGI AIRPORT T2 SPARKS SHUTDOWN & FLIGHT DELAYS

Changi Airport Terminal 2 was temporarily shut down and evacuated after an alleged small fire broke out in its departure hall. News outlets claim the fire started in a storeroom but CAG has yet to confirm this information. The fire alarm was activated at approximately 5.40pm due to smoke emerging from the air ventilation system.
