RUDE TEACHER TOLD HEARING-IMPAIRED STUDENT NOT TO FAKE HEARING PROBLEM

My hubby brought my firl to ENT at NUH on Monday for a hearing test. The specialist found her right ear to have some problem and the results will confirm next week. I emailed the form teacher to tell her what the ENT specialist mentioned after the preliminary test, the reply was to update her if the right ear is confirmed to have a problem and apply for 'access arrangement for Listening Comprehension' with the medical report. But yesterday, the form teacher told my daughter not to pretend that she can't hear and there is nothing wrong. Since the test was done by a medical specialist, the teacher would know that the child is not faking it. why did she tell daughter 'not to pretend' she has a hearing problem? seems like a double standard kind of thing...on one hand she thanked me for informing her, but yet accused daughter of faking it.

TEACHER: TIME TO STOP PAYING FOR SCHOOL STUFF OUT OF OUR POCKETS TO ENSURE “TRANSPARENCY”

You don't have to feel so upset over the impending parking fees. It's a good move to be transparent to the public. Since the ministry wants to ensure that it doesn't give unsubsidized parking to ensure transparency, it's good to let MOE know that you should also stop paying for stuff out of your own pocket to ensure 'transparency' too. Some example of fees that you have been paying out of your own pocket

I called up her teacher to inform her of the incidents to which her teacher inform me she'll make some changes in the seating arrangement. True to her words, some swops were made the following day. However, she had told my daughter not to inform me subsequently!

EX-TEACHER: SDP’S EDUCATION POLICY IS ENTICING BUT FLAWED & LACKS GOOD VIABLE SOLUTIONS

Here are my thoughts to SDP's Dr Chee's ideas on education. The paper was well written.....to elicit responses into thinking that MOE is not doing a good job, over looking big issues that the SDP have spotted and supposedly, came up with good solutions. Even as an ex-educator, at first read, it seems to make sense, but with deeper thought, it does not. Hence I felt the need to share my thoughts with those around me.

S’PORE TEACHERS DO A THANKLESS JOB SO GIVE THEM SOME RESPECT

I may not be a teacher anymore but I have the deepest respect for teachers. They do a thankless job with an ever-expanding job scope. Academics, leadership, character development, sports, values, values-in-action. Before you fire off a response to make negative comments about teachers, please find out more about what teachers do. And ask yourself if you are up for the challenge.
