CHC: THANK YOU KONG HEE, WE'RE PURER AND STRONGER THAN BEFORE

28 years ago, CHC began with God's call to one man, who led a group of 20 youth who didn't know much or have much, but whose hearts were so full. 28 years later, we're still growing as a church, and we are purer and stronger than ever before.

Thank you pioneers of City Harvest Church, and especially Pastor Kong Hee and Sun Ho, for courageously heeding the call of God upon your lives. We will continue to build what God has started, and is still doing through you. Let's keep praying for the five and their families. Let's keep loving God wholeheartedly, loving people fervently, and continue to live by the "Divine Priority" of seeking God's kingdom first!

CHC TELLS MEMBERS TO CEASELESSLY PRAY FOR KONG HEE'S SAFETY & PROTECTION

City Harvest Church has released a statement telling members to ceaselessly pray for the safety and protection of their leaders. The church's executive pastors, Aries Zulkarnain and Bobby Chaw, also reminded them to continue serving God while remaining faithful in the things they are called to do.

"Today, Pastor Kong, Pastor Tan, Sharon, Serina and John will start serving their sentences (Friday, April 21, 2017).

We will not see them for a season, but we must continue to uphold them in prayer. We pray for their safety and protection, and we pray that the presence of God is with them at all times.

Let’s also pray ceaselessly for their families, that through this period, God’s peace will fill them and His protection and grace will be upon them.

Church, in this time, let’s not forget Romans 12:12, which tells us to rejoice in hope, [be] patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.

Let us continue to love God wholeheartedly and love people fervently. Being faithful in the things we are called to do: come to service, attend cell group, serve in the House of God, reach out to the lost, pray and fellowship together.

See you in church this weekend."

CHC MEMBER: WE ENDURED 7-YR ORDEAL BUT WILL STILL SUPPORT A 2ND CROSSOVER PROJECT

A City Harvest church member Desmond Loo has asked for people to let his church move on so that they can start their "healing process". Although he claims to respect the judicial system, he wondered why the authorities are saying that the matter is not over yet despite having 7 years to think about it. He even tagged PM Lee in a FB post in describing the long ordeal the church members faced.

"We the church had to endure questions on why we remain (in the church) for over 7 years. But in that 7 years, we continued to give. Not because we are brainwashed or less intelligent that the average Singaporean, but because this is our home, our church. Pas Kong Hee is our pastor, and he carries the responsibility of leading us, the church into spiritual maturity.."

He also said that the church will continue to support the Crossover Project if there was a version 2. "For 7 years, this church family kept mostly silent and focused on what the church believed in. The Crossover was to be an extension of these beliefs, and we supported it fully. If there is a Crossover II launched tomorrow, this 15,000 who remains the church today, will support like we did in the early 2000s."

Wah really so selfless or not? Make Sun Ho happy only. #MoreChinaWine

CHC MEMBER: CHC TURNED ME AND MY MUM INTO PARANOIDS WITH ANXIETY DISORDER

When I tell my CG leader that I am stressed out, they can't do anything much and my mum tells them that I have anxiety issues, not realising that CHC and she coercing me to go are the cause of it. I even have a psychiatrist letter proving I have that condition. My mother however has it worse. Since attending CHC, she became very paranoid and very anxious. Anything that does not go her way smoothly, she will make the ridiculous claim that the Devil is acting against her, like having a minor car accident etc. Sometimes when she presses the wrong number on her mobile, she would blame the Devil for it. She keeps worrying about things and scolds me for being anxious when she in fact, is anxious herself!

PETITION TO REPLACE ADAM LAMBERT WITH SUN HO FOR COUNTDOWN 2016 CONCERT

Following the outrage by some conservative religious people who felt that it was inappropriate for Adam Lambert to headline the 2016 concert organised by Mediacorp at The Float at Marina Bay, some Singaporeans have started another petition for Sun Ho to replace Adam Lambert at the concert. These people believe that Sun Ho is in a better position to represent a "dignified family event" that is not "offensive and potentially divisive" because she embodies values such as family, money, booty-shaking, money, some criminal case, money, God, money, church, and, of course, money. And most importantly, there is no "gay agenda" to turn people and children who watch the performance, gay.
