KOI Cafe has fired the employee who allegedly insulted and hurled expletives at one of its customers over the weekend. The customer, Ms Gia Munaji Salamat said she had just met with two of the beverage chain's managers, who handed her a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten letter of apology from the employee, Rachel. They also told her that Rachel, a foreign student, had been terminated from her position because of the incident.

MAN SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR HAVING ANAL SEX WITH 13-YEAR OLD GIRL
After meeting a 13-year-old girl through a mutual friend in January this year, Muhammad Nur Hakim Abdullah asked her to be his girlfriend. She agreed and days later, he pressured her into having unprotected sex with him in his home. On Monday, Muhammad Nur Hakim was sentenced to a year in prison for having sex with the minor, after pleading guilty to two of seven charges which also involved oral and anal sex. All the offences were committed in January.

The sports commentator who made a blunder for signing off "from China" during Sunday's WTA singles final here has apologised. When signing off after the prize presentation ceremony, American announcer Kevin Skinner was heard saying "zai jian" (Chinese for goodbye), followed by "goodbye from China". He later apologised on Twitter for the "serious mistake".
