The moderator bid a tearful goodbye to edmwers as he accepted the punishment. Some have wondered if this is part of greater censorship against netizens who do not have politically correct views.

MP for Aljunied, Chen Show Mao has quit his role as the party treasurer, a post that he has held since 2014. Mr Chen quit at the Central Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday. While he has relinquished his role as the treasurer, he remains as a Council member.

Suddenly, nearing election time, many wants to retire. 4-5 months ago, no one talk about retirement. I think the people are smart enough to know that most of these MPs and ministers are probably being replaced and not retiring out of their own volition. I am distraught that Minister Lui Tuck Yew is stepping down. I have known Mr. Lui since I was an 18 year old JC student when as a LTC in the Navy, he mentored me for the Temasek Seminar. William, who launched the petition yesterday (4 May), hopes to collect 100,000 signatures to show public displeasure about a statement made by PM Lee at a community event in Ang Mo Kio on Saturday (3 May) During the event, where Indians from various ethnic groups came together to celebrate Indian New Year, PM Lee said Singapore belongs to everyone including foreigners. He encouraged Singaporeans to celebrate the festivals of Singaporeans from other ethnic groups, AND the festivals of foreigners.
