MAN STEALS FROM SALVATION ARMY GETS EIGHT MONTHS JAIL

Tan Cheok Yen, 43, stole 311 items such as books, clothes, shoes and compact discs, worth $941, at the Salvation Army located on Bishan Street 22 on Aug 25 this year, despite there being signs proclaiming "The donated items here are the property of The Salvation Army. Stealing them is an offence punishable by law".

4 JOHOR MEN WORKING IN SINGAPORE ARRESTED BY MALAYSIAN POLICE FOR MURDER

Four men from Johor were arrested by Malaysian police for allegedly murdering another man at a bus station in Jalan Persiaran Sungai Danga, Nusa Bistari, in Johor.

According to Malaysian police, two of the arrested men were working as security guards in Singapore, while another one was a factory worker and one was a horse groomer, all working in Singapore.

MAN STOLE FROM THE SAME SHOP TWICE IN THREE DAYS, FINALLY ARRESTED

The man first broke into the Mobile 8 store at Greenridge Shopping Centre on May 19, and thought that he was so successful that he made another trip there on May 21 and stole again. Each time, he cut a hole in the glass and made away with several phones. he had stolen 10 phones the first time, and 6 the second time.

The man has not been named, but he must be so confident of himself that he returned to the scene of his first crime just three days after escaping with his loot. He must have thought he had escaped the second heist too, but police arrested him on June 13 before he could return and steal for the third time.
