LTA ENFORCE NEW HARSH MEASURES TO WHIP SMRT & SBS INTO SHAPE
On Thursday (15 Jan 2015) the Land Transport Authority announced that train operators have to meet much higher service standards next year. After the completion of signalling upgrades on the North-South line, trains are expected to arrive every 100 seconds, down from the previous 120 seconds. Concurrently, LTA will track and measure rail disruptions on an end-to-end journey basis rather than the existing per-station basis so as to give an accurate representation of what commuters experience daily.
