CPF ASKING RETIREES TO ACCEPT PAYOUTS FROM AGE 70?

After I wrote “CPF: “No action is required if you wish to start your payouts at age 70”?” (Sep 7) – one of my schoolmates from Raffles Institution called me to ask about a similar letter which his wife has just received – saying that she would receive $910 monthly from age 64, for 24 years – but that she would have to opt for it at cpf.gov.sg (no specific link address).

No environment or situation is perfect. Giants can fight. But life still goes on. To maximise my chances of earnings and survival, I go where the wind blows. Now Grab give, money take. BALLOON RUN TO CONTINUE WITHOUT BALLOONS AS THEY POST RISK TO WILDLIFE

However, the most important component of the run was scrapped, as the balloons are mot allowed to be used in the run. This was explained off as based on the potential impact the balloons will have on the environment. The authorities are not keen on the idea of the balloons could float away and end up as litter on Singapore's roads and waterways, and pose a risk to wildlife that may ingest the discarded material.
