WOMAN SLEEPS OUTSIDE ENCLOSURE OF SINGAPORE ZOO

I visited the zoo and I was shocked to see a woman sleeping on the platform of the wolverine enclosure. Tourists and visitors who walked pass had these reactions; laughed, smiled and gossiped to their partners. It seems that her daughter tried to get her to sit up but after her daughter left, she lay down again. I hope this is not the only impression that tourists will have of Singapore!

S’PORE ZOO IGNORES VIEWER’S COMPLAINTS OF EXCESSIVE USED AGAINST SHOW DOG

About one month ago, I wrote in to A.S.S regards to an incident that happened at the Singapore Zoo, during the Animal Friends Shows. on the 12th January 2016, I went again to watch their first show at 11am. The show was good until the end. However, what upset me was during the dog’s sniffing behavior segment, the same keeper came out with a Golden Retriever. I was shock.

ZOO STAFF USED EXCESSIVE FORCE AGAINST SHOW DOG AFTER IT MADE GIRL CRY?

I would like to highlight an incident that happened today, 17th December 2015 at the Singapore zoo, during the Animal Friends Show, at around 4.45pm. I was petting Golden Retriever A at the left side with my girlfriend when I heard a girl crying at the other side of the stage. The Indian man immediately went over and grab hold of Golden B. Apparently, Golden Retriever B was biting on to the little girl hat and did not want to let go. The next moment, I saw the Indian man grabbing the mouth and the flesh was pressing against the teeth so that the dog will let go of the hat.

PRC PANDA JIA JIA FOOLS ZOOKEEPERS, “PREGNANCY” WAS A FALSE ALARM

Despite promising initial signs, which seemed to suggest that the River Safari's female giant panda Jia Jia was pregnant, the giant pandas gifted to Singapore from the People's Republic of China will not be conceiving any cubs after all. Jia Jia underwent artificial insemination on 18th April after she was unsuccessful at mating with her male counterpart, Kai Kai. In July, she started displaying signs of pregnancy - for example, eating less bamboo, sleeping more and having elevated hormonal levels - which raised the hopes that Jia Jia had been successfully inseminated.

SINGAPORE RECEIVES 4 KOALAS FROM AUSTRALIA

Singapore will receive four koalas from Australia as part of celebrations for SG50 and the 50th anniversary of Singapore-Australia diplomatic relations. The official announcement was made in Brisbane today. The koalas will live in a purpose-built exhibit at Singapore Zoo temporarily for six months.

SINGAPORE ZOO: PENGUIN ENCLOSURE TEMPORARY CLOSED

The Singapore Zoo has closed their penguin enclosure this morning (18 July). The Zoo explains that some penguins have displayed symptoms of depression, such as loss of appetite and restlessness. The closure will only be temporary and it will be re-opened once the penguins have been cured.
