A fire broke out at about 6.45am at 65 Sungei Kadut Loop this morning (Nov 2). The first arriving SCDF crew, rescued a total of 7 persons who were trapped in the office-block adjoining the warehouse.

SCDF PUTS OUT DEEP SEATED FIRE AT TUAS BARGE, 1 OFFICER INJURED

Yesterday, the SCDF dispatched 3 fire engines, 3 Red Rhinos, 2 firebikes, 1 ambulance, 1 Unmanned Firefighting Machine, 6 support vehicles and 2 Marine Firefighting Vessels for a fire involving a barge at berth in Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard. Approximately 70 SCDF personnel are involved in this operation.

SCDF ABUSING ITS RESERVISTS BY MAKING THEM DO “CHANGE PARADES”?

A reader shared a Facebook post by an angry Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) reservist who was forced to undergo a "change parade" due to the SCDF giving out wrongly worded orders. According to the reservist, he was told to report to camp in civilian attire, but was denied entry because the camp wanted them to report in full uniform. When they finally clarified with SCDF HQ that they were indeed told to report in civilian attire, the camp security still insisted that the reservists go home and change to full uniform or else they would be penalized!

FIREFIGHTER SAVES 9 LIVES FROM UBI INDUSTRIAL FIRE

Clouds of thick smoke clouded his vision as Senior Warrant Officer (SWO2) Ricominoroy Pornamah and his team dashed through the fiery inferno at Block 3019 Ubi Road. They were expecting to find office workers, but were shocked to find 2 women and a baby in the fire. They quickly evacuated the women and the child to safety, but Ricominoroy was not done yet. He and his team ran back into the building and rescued 6 other trapped survivors before heat exhaustion got to him. He was conveyed to Changi General Hospital for treatment.
