TAXI CATCHES FIRE AT KPE TUNNEL, DRIVERS TOLD TO LEAVE CARS & EXIT SAFELY

A Transcab taxi caught fire in the KPE tunnel towards TPE after ECP, leaving part of the tunnel closed. Thankfully, the SCDF managed to extinguish the fire and nobody was injured. Drivers are advised to avoid lane 4. Some were also told to abandon their motorbikes and exit the tunnel.

MALAY TODDLER TRAPPED IN CAR AT BALMORAL PLAZA, RESCUED BY SCDF

Our reader noticed a Malay toddler being trapped in a car just this afternoon at Balmoral Plaza and thinks it was a careless mistake by the child's parent. According to our reader, the Singapore Civil Defence Force used hydraulic equipment to rescue the boy, who was excited upon seeing the SCDF in action.

CLEMENTI FIRE STATION DIDN'T MEET FIRE SAFETY STANDARDS, HAS SINCE REMOVED AFFECTED CLADDING

15 buildings have been found to be using external cladding that does not meet fire safety standards. The Singapore Civil Defence Force announced a list of affected buildings with non-Class 0 cladding, including Singapore Polytechnic and Clementi Fire Station. Fire station also got combustible cladding? How come never ownself check ownself?

FATHER DANGEROUSLY LOCKS BABY BOY IN CAR, SCDF CALLED TO THE RESCUE

A 5-month old baby boy was left in the car for almost 20 minutes and had to be rescued by the Singapore Civil Defence Force. A neighbour's video showed the SCDF examining the car before the baby's father came to unlock the door and pull him out. It was uncertain why the father simply left his baby there for so long.

KUDOS TO SCDF FOR SAVING THOSE ON TIGER SKY TOWER & PUTTING OUT FIRE AT CTE TUNNEL

The SCDF was sure busy yesterday in saving people who were trapped on the Tiger Sky Tower and extinguishing fire from a car that caught fire at Chin Swee Tunnel. The Havelock Rd exit, which had to be closed for a few hours due to the accident, has since reopened.
