I am really grateful towards all the guys that had been, is currently or will be serving Singapore in the future. UNFAIR TREATMENT: SEXISM AGAINST MALES IN THE SAF

Females can get into OCS with lower criteria, get commissioned easier, have lower punishments for same infractions, and get promoted faster as well. Also, the biggest 'sexism' under the SAF is that men have to work for 2 years for $480 while women can get market rates by signing on as regular/ME or joining as DXOs.

SBS BUS DRIVER CHASES SOLDIER OFF THE BUS FOR NOT HAVING MONEY IN EZLINK CARD!

This soldier here had no money left in his ez-link card and to my understanding was trying to negotiate with the bus driver to let him on. The bus driver told him to get off at the next stop. Just as he got off the bus I told him to get back on the bus and that I'll pay the small fee for you. He called me a life saver when he was the one in uniform. #careforsoldiers Not even in his Uniform did he get some appreciation for his service. Not asking to give all Ns men a free bus ride. Just appreciate and understand how much they have to go through everyday.

AWOL DOCTOR WANG YINCHU WAS “EXEMPLARY” STUDENT AND NSF

When Wang Yinchu left Singapore in October 2008 to pursue his military studies, he did so with a heavy heart. He was left with 1 month before his Operationally Ready Date (ORD), but his school term at a prestigious medical school in the University of Cambridge would begin before that. He tried asking the university for permission to matriculate later. However, the university advised him to reapply for entry the following year with no guarantee of admission. He also tried numerous times to get MINDEF to allow him to disrupt his remaining month of service, but this request was denied. Wang made appeals within the SAF and through his MP, but all these were inexplicably denied.
