India's "District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum of South Chennai" has ordered Singapore Airlines to pay 35,000 rupees (S$735) to compensate Indian businessman Mr G.R.K. Reddy, for downgrading his business class seat to economy class without informing him.

According to news reports, 14 pilots were barred from flying recently and the Indian government is set to arrest even more pilots with fake qualifications. When I got to the SIA transfer desk at Terminal 3 to request my boarding pass for the next flight, I was told that there was no agreement with AirAsia for transfers, and that I would have to leave the transit area and check in again at the departure area.
