S’PORE AIRLINES PENALIZING CUSTOMER FOR TRYING TO AVOID MERS-HIT SOUTH KOREA

Several months ago, my daughter bought an air ticket from Singapore Airlines (SIA) to travel to South Korea. However, with the increasing rate of Middle East respiratory syndrome (Mers) infection and deaths in South Korea, she has rightly decided to postpone her travel. Imagine the shock and dismay when SIA gave her these options: Take a $285 refund out of the $800 she paid for the ticket to cancel the trip, or Pay an additional $889 on top of the $800 she already paid to postpone the trip.

SIA, PLEASE CHECK THE QUALIFICATIONS OF ALL YOUR FT PILOTS

I am a concerned citizen who read news that some Indian pilots used fake flying licenses to fly for Indian Airlines. According to news reports, 14 pilots were barred from flying recently and the Indian government is set to arrest even more pilots with fake qualifications. I hope you do not blame me for speaking the truth, but many loyal supporters of your airline like myself are worried. We fear for our safety now, especially in the wake of all these fake degree and fake license scams.

PRC CUSTOMER BLAMES SIA FOR BEING MADE TO WALK LONG DISTANCE FOR FLIGHT TRANSFER

When I got to the SIA transfer desk at Terminal 3 to request my boarding pass for the next flight, I was told that there was no agreement with AirAsia for transfers, and that I would have to leave the transit area and check in again at the departure area. Captain Ryan Goh Yew Hock had tried to undermine the interests of SIA and Singapore, he said. 'If Singapore goes down, you go down,' he told the Singaporeans across the table. 'He doesn't go down.' With that out of the way, he laid out what he wanted to achieve out of the meeting: a fresh start. 'You play straight with me, I play straight with you. You play ducks and drakes with me, I play ducks and drakes with you,' he told them.

SIA PASSENGER CHARGED $1,520 FOR USING INTERNET ON THE PLANE

A Singapore Airlines (SIA) passenger was charged about S$1,520 for using the Internet during his flight from London to Singapore on Thursday (Nov 12). Mr Jeremy Gutsche, CEO of online magazine Trendhunter.com, posted his bill on Twitter the next day, complaining about being “gouged” by the airline. He had subscribed for the 30mb Internet OnAir package at US$28.99 (S$37.63), but was charged an additional US$1142.47 (S$1,483.06) for overuse.

Why We Should Let Singapore Run the U.S. Airlines

Singapore airlines Economy Class will do the trick, any day of the week. Now if I could somehow convince them to take over the legacy carriers' routes in the U.S., the world I inhabit would be a much better place. CLE --> SFO on SQ? I'm on it like a car bonnet!
