POLICE: NO WEAPONS OR EXPLOSIVES FOUND IN DASH THROUGH VEHICLE

Police and officers from Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosives Defence Group (CBRE DG) have searched the vehicle involved in the incident at the vicinity of Shangri-La Hotel. No explosives, arms or weapons were found in the vehicle. A bag containing white powdery substances believed to contain controlled drugs was recovered in the vehicle.

MAN SHOT DEAD BY POLICE AFTER CRASHING THROUGH SHANGRI-LA ROAD BLOCK

Police confirm that one man was shot dead and two others were detained in an incident in the vicinity of the Shangri-La hotel at 4.36 am. When asked to open the car boot for checks, the driver suddenly accelerated the vehicle towards Anderson Road. Despite Police warnings to stop, the driver continued to crash through Police barricades, endangering the lives of the officers. Police opened fire at the vehicle to stop further danger.
