TO THE S'PORE GOVT: PLEASE STOP YOUR SG50 BS

Singaporeans cannot just recognise and celebrate Singapore’s past 50 years only. To do so will be to disrespect pioneers’ pioneers like Tan Kim Seng, Tan Kah Kee, Tan Tock Seng, Lim Bo Seng, Lt Adnan and so on, whom all died before 1965 and thus contributed nothing in the past 50 years.

PETITION TO BAN ADAM LAMBERT DUE TO LEWD ACTS, NOT HIS HOMOSEXUALITY

If one has read and understood the petition against his performance, one would see that his sexual orientation was not the main issue. Rather, the main concern was over his controversial performance history, fraught with lewd and sexualised acts, which would be inappropriate for Celebrate 2016.

INCLUDE SINGAPOREANS WHO REACH 65 IN FUTURE IN PIONEER GENERATION?

According to www.pioneers.sg - “The Pioneer Generation package is not meant for all who turn 65 in 5, 10 or 25 years’ time. Rather, it is for the special generation of Singaporeans who were at least aged 16 in 1965 – or are aged 65 and older by the end of 2014.”

EVEN EX-PAP MP TAN CHENG BOCK WAS DENIED TICKETS TO SG50 NDP PARADE

On that day, we rejoiced in our nation’s birth, as well as what it has achieved over 50 years since Independence. It is bad enough that many citizens were denied TICKETS to the “LIVE NATIONAL DAY PARADE CELEBRATIONS”. Even former MP Tan Cheng Bock, who was instrumental in fostering racial unity, as well as always being humble, honest and upright in his dealings with all Singaporeans, was denied access to tickets to the National Day Parade.

AS WE CELEBRATE SG50, SHOW SOME KINDNESS TO OUR FOREIGN BUILDERS TOO

At some SG50 goodie bag giveaway station, there were two bangladeshi nationals (by the way they were dressed, I assume they're workers on their day-off) standing by the sides watching as people joined the queue to collect their goodie bags.. after collecting mine, I walked past them telling them they too could join the line to collect the goodie bag.

PAP WASTING TAXPAYERS MONEY ON SG50 AND NDP!

I wanted to share on something which has been bugging me and my neighbours in Punggol lately... The shopkeeper (in his late 50s) at a paper stand near my place was talking to me this morning and the topic switched to the NDP. I asked him if his shop would be closed tomorrow and he quickly said, "Why should we close tomorrow? I'd rather open for business than watch the stupid parade!"

SINGAPOREANS BE THANKFUL YOU ARE NO LONGER A PART OF MALAYSIA

Dear Singapore, as you celebrate your annual "We're so glad we're not part of Malaysia" celebration, let's see what we can be thankful for. If you were part of Malaysia your 100 dollars will be in ringgit and will have shrunk to a third of its value to $35.45.
