A 46 year-old tuition teacher, Liew Kin Wah was jailed 12 months today after the court found him guilty of 3 offences of sexual penetration of a 15 year-old male student. Liew and the boy had met on mobile chat application "Scruff" and developed a relationship. They eventually decided to meet on 27 Feb at Woodlands MRT station after the victim finished school. They proceeded to Liew's home where the boy performed oral sex on Liew. Liew then had anal sex with the boy.

22 year-old full-time national serviceman (NSF) Lee Hong Qiang admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old girl he met on Facebook. He was sentenced to 11 months jail on Tuesday. Lee faced 3 charges, but only admitted to one charge of sexual penetration of a minor. The incident took place at his flat in Henderson Road in June last year.
