LOUD SOUND @ SENTOSA COVE FROM DEMOLITION EXERCISE, TO LAST UNTIL END-MAY

The police has investigated a loud sound at Sentosa Cove and did not find anything incriminating. Earlier, a resident there complained that they heard a loud sound and felt insecure about it. From their investigations, the sound was probably due to a demolition exercise carried out at the nearby Southern Islands. The exercise is part of a series of tests that will be conducted from mid to end May. Good that it's no big deal, but how come they never inform residents one?

WHY KONG HEE NEVER DOWNGRADE HIS SENTOSA PENTHOUSE TO HELP THE CHURCH?

I remember being brought to CHC once and during one of their sermons i heard then telling a story of how one family downgraded their 4 room flat and bought a 3 room flat to donate the difference to the church. He said down grade your house to upgrade the house of god, i found that fucking appalling because singaporeans work very hard and spend their whole lives to pay for their HDB flats and he was speaking in a way that implied "if you were faithful enough you would do this". Why can't the pastor downgrade his own house? Especially when it was a sentosa cove pent house.

He was responding to an article written by ST using information obtained from an unnamed investor, who had allegedly viewed Kong Hee's home while making an offer to buy it.

MILLIONAIRE CHC PASTOR KONG HEE SELLING SENTOSA COVE HOME FOR $10 MILLION

The millionaire pastor of City Harvest Church, 50 year-old Kong Hee, has put his luxurious penthouse family suite in Sentosa Cove up for sale, and he is asking for a record smashing $10 million for the duplex unit. Kong Hee and his celebrity wife, Ho Yeow Sun, paid $9.33 million in 2007 for the unit. Kong and 5 other CHC personnel are involved in a high profile trial over the alleged misuse of $50 million of church funds, which has been slow in its execution. Court proceedings have dragged on for at least over 2 years, which has led some netizens to accuse Kong and his followers of purposely delaying proceedings to waste time and court resources.
