Despite Opposition Winning More Seats At GE2020, They Still Have More Grounds To Cover To Beat PAP

Although the WP has managed to capture another GRC owing to gutter politicking by the establishment, the PAP still controls an unacceptable 83 seats in Parliament which makes frequent adjustments to the Constitution entirely plausible without much dissent. The Sec-Gen of the WP though offered “Leader of the Opposition” title by the government in name, still has that unresolved PRPTC lawsuit hanging over his head as is his fellow MP Raeesah Khan who has been implicated in ongoing police investigations by an ardent PAP member.

Why Are PAP Losers Allowed To Be Grassroots Advisors, Use PA Facilities & Resources When WP Winners Cannot?

Despite winning the elections for Aljunied, Sengkang and Hougang, Workers' Party MPs still have to hold their Meet-the-People's sessions in make-shift cubicles at the open-air void decks. Contrast this to the PAP losing candidates, who still get the role of 'grassroots advisors' and are freely allowed to use the CCs and RCs for their grassroots activities.

WP MP Pritam Singh Will Donate 50% Of His Leader Of Opposition Salary

The Workers' Party (WP) MP Pritam Singh announced his gratuity for being given the title as Leader of Opposition. Even though Pritam Singh will be shouldering more responsibilities and spending less time with family, it is admirable how he has decided to take it upon himself to give back even more to the Singaporeans by generously donating 50% of his salary.

Opinion: The Workers Party Should Develop "One Service" App For Its Town Councils

Opinion: The Workers Party Should Develop "One Service" App For Its Town Councils

On 10 July 2020, residents of Sengkang GRC voted for The Workers Party (WP) to represent them in Parliament and also to handle their municipal matters. PAP has a Municipal Office App called "One Service" where residents can take photographs and report such matters for action. I am of the opinion that PAP will make it difficult for residents to highlight such matters by directing the residents to report directly to WP. May I suggest that WP designs a similar app to report municipal matters for Aljunied & Sengkang GRCs and Hougang SMC so that residents in their respective WP Town Councils can submit cases to for prompt action. I hope WP will implement this humble suggestion of mine.

A concerned citizen has made a police report on PAP's press statement asking WP to state its stand on Raeesah Khan's posts. The purpose of this report is to hold the PAP accountable for an "offence of promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion or race under Section 298A of the Penal Code" as well as the spreading of online falsehoods.
