WHY IS CERTIS CISCO OUTSOURCING S’PORE SECURITY TO FOREIGNERS?

With the recent news that our security firm, Certis Cisco will be employing foreign talents from Taiwan, I am appalled and unhappy with it, talking about Certis, they handle many sensitive and confidential assignments that shouldn't be revealed to others, and with the fact that they are employing foreigners, aren't they putting our country's security at sake and our government didn't step up to say anything about it?

HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYER: NEVER TRUST THE PAP, NO GOVT EVER WANTS TO LOSE POWER

I am often told that Singaporeans don’t care about the ISA. The fact that this law has been with us for nearly 70 years is taken for granted and even with respect. Our country’s stability and orderliness are frequently attributed to the presence of this law. I learnt my lesson never to trust the government in 1987! No government wants to lose power. The PAP is no exception. The ISA is too useful a tool for any government. Today, there are about 23 Muslims in prison under the ISA. Three of them have been in prison for about 14 years. We do not know if they had done any wrong because there is no trial.

Some of these measures include rolling out expanded CCTV coverage across the country, which already has extensive police CCTV networks. This may very well be a useful to combating terrorism. The question is, what are the means by which we reach the end goal? At what cost comes our freedom and security?

S’POREAN MAN: CISCO GUARD DID NOT STOP SUSPECT WHO MOLESTED ME ON MRT

Singaporean man was molested on the train but the Certis Cisco officer present merely asked the suspect a few questions without making any attempt to detain or prevent him from leaving. This incident raises the question of the legal authority vested in third-party security providers, such as Certis Cisco. Who should MRT passengers run to in times of distress or a security threat?
