Singapore recently went up from 160th to 139th in the global press freedom index. But do they have the cheek to say that it is an improvement?

The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) has apparently asked Singapore's best marathoner, Soh Rui Yong, to keep their dispute private and away from the public eye. Soh however, is continuing the fight against the SNOC, saying that as a public entity, SNOC should maintain high standards of accountability and transparency.

To put things in perspective, Soh is the indisputable marathon and long distance running champion in South East Asia, and he himself was solely responsible for 50% of Singapore's track and field’s gold haul at the 2017 Games. And it is most likely that if Soh was taking part in the Games this year, Singapore would have been guaranteed at least one gold medal already. He is that good.

Teammates and Singapore marathon champions Soh Rui Yong and Ashley Liew has intensified, as Liew has just sued Soh for damages of up to $120,000 in monetary damages, over a contested act of sportsmanship.

Netizens excited about the 50M freestyle win by champion Singapore swimmer Amanda Lim, who brought home her 5th Gold medal in the event for Singapore recently at the South East Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, now have another reason to gush about Lim.

But Malaysia, it seems, cannot get one basic thing right. The flags of their neighbours. They seem to be bogged down by this one issue, where they have failed miserably in assigning the right flag to the right country.
