DON'T THROW CIGARETTE BUTTS OUT OF THE CAR WINDOW, NEA COULD ISSUE $2,000 FINE IF PEOPLE SABO YOU

Drivers who have the bad habit of flicking your cigarette butts out of windows better beware. In early November 2017, one such car owner was shocked to receive a letter from NEA which demanded they name the driver who was driving the vehicle at the time of offence. NEA with the help of LTA took enforcement action on a tip-off from the public which alleged that the said driver threw his cigarette butt out of the car window along Tampines Avenue 5. If the driver did not cooperate with NEA, he could be subject to a fine as high as $2,000 over this littering offence.

LTA & HDB FINE VEHICLES PARKED INDISCRIMINATELY AT HOUGANG POKESTOP

We have previously mentioned that Police have alerted both LTA and HDB about residents' concerns regarding illegal/indiscriminate parking problems in the vicinity of Blk 401. This was due to the convergence of gamers from all over the island towards this particular hot spot, with a substantial number of them driving there.

To alleviate the problem of indiscriminate parking within the car park, HDB enforcement officers were hard at work over the weekend (beginning from Friday). We urge all gamers who drives there to park their vehicles in the appropriate lots. Indiscriminate parking may pose issues or even dangers to other car park users.

TRAFFIC POLICE FLYOVER AMBUSH, TO STOP SPEEDING OR MEET SAMAN QUOTA?

Yesterday above the PIE on the flyover near Toa Payoh estate, a passerby photographed a traffic policeman targeting vehicles with his speed trap camera. There is nothing wrong with this enforcement except that it is done from the motorist's back. This is ambushing motorists on the roads and does not serve as deterrent to reduce or stop speeding. This is pure punitive and unfair punishment against motorists.

WHY PROVIDE ASHTRAYS ON BINS IF SMOKING IF NOT ALLOWED IN CARPARK STAIRWELL?

I was so caught smoking in hdb carpark and the ironic part is, all these while this hdb carpark on all levels are provided a bin with an ash tray. So many people has stand near to these bin and smoke and we will not litter the cigarette butt on the floor. We stick to that thought. So when I was caught, I ask them to give me a benefit of doubt since there are bins everywhere with the ash tray provided.

"KIND" PARKING WARDEN ISSUED WARNING BUT STILL SAMAN MOTORIST 2 WEEKS LATER

Two weeks ago, I parked my vehicle on double yellow line less than 2 mins with engine and hazard light on. This cisco officer Raguvaran took photo and prepare to issue fine against me. After my explanation, I just got warning. I thanked the "understanding" officer. Today, I received a summon letter for the incident from two weeks ago. Why did the warden's warning become an official saman? Where is his credibility?
