TAMPINES RESIDENT: TOWN COUNCIL REFUSE TO ADDRESS MY LEAKING ROOF, 4 MONTHS ALREADY!

Facebook user Esther complained about her leaky roof since before Chinese New Year but up till now, the town council has not addressed or resolved the issue. She is running out of patience especially with the heavy downpour a few days ago which caused more water leakage in her house and corridor. The water is also leaking from the electric wire casing and could pose a safety hazard. How come the TC is involved with the Home Improvement Project but not solving the leaking problem?

FIRE CONSUMES ROOF AFTER LIGHTNING STRUCK NEIGHBOURHOOD

After lighting struck a neighbourhood in Clementi, a fire consumed the roof of a bungalow. On Thursday (Nov 10) evening, after the roof caught fire, neighbours tried to alert the occupants of the house in Sunset Place but to no avail. Foreign workers who were working at another house climbed over the gate to alert its occupants.

NDP COMMITTEE INVESTIGATING S’PORE FLAG SCREW UP DURING NDP FINALE

The NDP committee is investigating why the National Stadium's domed roof failed to light up with the Singapore flag during the fireworks finales on National Day. This comes after popular NDP items like the Red Lions parachuting team and the fighter jet flyby were canned due to the closed roof. The Committee tried hard to put a positive spin to this hiccup by stating that "Celebrations still went on smoothly, and the NDP 2016 Executive Committee is heartened by the spirit of Singaporeans both at the National Stadium and at home celebrating our nation's 51st birthday"
