A lone gunman attacked a casino, fired shots and set fire to gambling tables at Resorts World Manila earlier today, causing panic in the country which has already been on high alert. People could see smoke billowing from the building and heard loud bangs as others got injured fleeing for their lives. There are no casualties so far. The Islamic State rushed to claim responsibility but the police later clarified it was likely a robbery. They said the man, reportedly a Caucasian, ran straight for the casino chips and did not aim his rifle at anyone in particular. He poured gasoline on gambling tables and tried to steal US$2.27 million worth of chips. The police has since recovered the stolen amount.

BEDOK ROBBER PUNCHED 8 MTHS PREGNANT LADY IN STOMACH AFTER FAILED ROBBERY ATTEMPT
A 42 year old pregnant lady was punched in her stomach by a robber in broad daylight in Bedok as she was taking the lift back home. Last Friday (28 April 2017), the 8 months pregnant lady finished marketing and was on the way home when the robber tailed her into the lift. The robber waited for the victim to walk out of the lift before tugging at her handbag. Instead of letting go, the pregnant lady held on tight and refused to let go of her wallet and started screaming loudly for help. When he failed to snatch her handbag, the robber was enraged and punched her in the stomach as warning.

31 year old Herman Zaidin was driving home to Singapore after a business trip to KL when a motorbike gang of more than 10 youths bashed him up and robbed him of all his valuables. One of the motorcyclists purposely hit his bike against Herman's car in the congested road and accused Herman of injuring him. After the fake accident occured, 10 or more youths surrounded Herman's car with their bikes and started banging his car and hurled vulgarities at him. According to CCTV footage from Baker & Cook, a man bearing a close resemblance to the infamous StanChart robber, David James Roach entered the cafe and ate there, minutes after walking away with $30 000 from the bank. At the cafe, the man had ignored the queue and went straight to the counter but a staff told him to join the queue. The man was carrying a carried a huge and bulding envelop. According to reports, the man behind the Standard Chartered robbery is 26 year old David James Roach, a Canadian. The first time visitor to Singapore had robbed the Holland Village branch of S$30,000 on 7 July. He left Singapore for Bangkok on the same day. The suspect was arrested on Sunday (10 Jul) at a backpackers hostel in Bangkok's Pratunam district. According to a source from Interpol Bangkok, Roach has been to Thailand many times.
