BUS DRIVER WHO VERBALLY ABUSED POLICEMAN RESIGNED, CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION

The bus driver who shouted at a police officer Sep 27 at Jurong, has resigned and is currently under police investigation. It was reported that during the exchange, the driver used obscene language and made hand gestures as the officer was patiently trying to calm him down.

Police investigations are ongoing, with the driver initially investigated for a dispute with an LTA officer over how he had stopped his bus on a double yellow line.

CHEE SOON JUAN WRITES TO PM LEE TO CALL FOR A BY-ELECTION

Singapore Democratic Party's Chee Soon Juan has written to PM Lee to call for a By-Election for Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC in light of Mdm Halimah Yacob's resignation. He asked if PM Lee agrees with Mr Chan Chun Sing for previously saying that there will not be a By-Election. If he does not receive a response, he will "proceed to take the necessary steps to rectify the situation".

THAI NURSE FORCED TO RESIGN FOR WEARING SEXY SHORT UNIFORM @ WORK

Parichat Pang Chatsri, a 26 year old nurse in Thailand was forced to resign after allegedly disrespecting the nursing profession by wearing an overly sexy short skirt uniform at work. The photo of her in a tight fitting uniform with short skirt at a private hospital landed her in hot soup. Although the uniform is normal by Singapore standards, the shortness of her skirt is considered provocative in Thailand. Critics say her short skirt nurse uniform was purposely altered to show off her slim sexy figure.

CHEN SHOW MAO RESIGNS AS WP'S TREASURER - TROUBLE IN THE BLUE CAMP?

MP for Aljunied, Chen Show Mao has quit his role as the party treasurer, a post that he has held since 2014.

Mr Chen quit at the Central Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday. While he has relinquished his role as the treasurer, he remains as a Council member.
