MRT COMMUTER REFUSES TO GIVE UP RESERVED SEAT TO MAN CARRYING BABY, IS HE OBLIGED TO DO SO?

An ASS reader sent in a complaint after witnessing a man refusing to give up his reserved seating even though there was a more needy person nearby. Despite the efforts of the ASS reader to get the man to give up the seat, he was flatly rejected. Is the man seated on the reserved seating obligated to give up his seat to the man carrying the baby? SELF-ENTITLED OLD MAN SHOVED STUDENT OFF MRT RESERVED SEAT, NO RESPECT

I was sitting on a reserved seat on the train when a middle aged man walked over from the other cabin and stopped in front of me. He then used his hands to beckon me to get out of my seat without saying a word. As I was reading, I had to pack up a little and zip up my bag before standing up to which he muttered something under his breath. 'Its my choice and I am NOT giving up my seat to her' he replied me in actual words. Dead silence in the cabin and everyone's disgusted stare was upon him.

FOREIGN WORKERS LACK OF CIVIC-MINDEDNESS TOWARDS CHILDREN & ELDERLY S’POREANS ON MRT

I boarded the MRT with my 6 yrs-old (going on to 7 yrs-old; P1 this year) son at Sengkang station and we planned to go to Dhoby Ghaut MRT. When we boarded the train, it was crowded and there wasn't much space to stand. My son stood next to a reserved seat which was taken by an Indian construction worker. He was listening to walkman and didn't give up seat to my son throughout our ride in the train.
