REPUBLIC POLY: UNTRUE THAT OUR PRC LECTURERS CONDUCTED LESSONS IN CHINESE

After yesterday's expose where a parent Mr Wilson Choo alleged RP Renewable Energy lecturers conducted their lessons in Mandarin, Republic Polytechnic has conducted their internal investigations and these are their finding. RP believes that the allegations are unfounded and all classes are delivered in English. There is no basis for Mr Choo's allegations.

REPUBLIC POLY PRC LECTURER TAUGHT HER SCIENCE LESSONS IN MANDARIN

This was shared by my son who attended RP's diploma course as a guinea pig in renewable energy. During one of the semester, a PRC lady was lecturing the class in Chinese/Mandarin and the class consists of PRCs and locals. Almost 80% don't know what she was lecturing about especially the Mandarin twang from PRC.

HEROIC PASSERBY SPRINGS INTO ACTION AFTER WITNESSING HORRIFIC ACCIDENT

An accident that occurred in front of Republic Polytechnic yesterday resulted in brutal injuries for a motorcyclist, who crashed into an oncoming car at a traffic junction at high speeds. According to a heroic passerby, Mohammed Waseem, "After the crash, the motorcyclist flew 2 to 3 meters away from his motorcycle. He couldn't get up. I ran to him and saw his left hand was broken and there were bones sticking out. His leg was also broken. The guy was brutally injured."

EX-REPUBLIC POLYTECHNIC STUDENT CHARGED WITH ORGANISING ILLEGAL PROCESSION

A man was charged in court on Wednesday with organising a public procession to commemorate Guy Fawkes Day last November without a permit. Jacob Lau Jian Rong, 23, is accused of organising the procession from City Hall MRT Station, to demonstrate support for a movement called the "Million Mask March Singapore'' which is against the new media regulations by the Media Development Authority when no permit had been granted.
