STUDENT SEES NO WRONG IN THROWING RENTAL BIKE ON FLOOR, MORAL VALUES ERODED

He just threw the obike in view of some passerby and waited for the lift. Then we heard a guy talking to the boy to tell him that he should park his bike properly and not obstruct the lift lobby area, but the boy simply ignored him and went up when the lift came. Then a minute later, we saw him again at the 1st floor lobby and he just walked away.

Question is, is this a result of bad parenting or poor education of moral values in school? Or simply our younger generation being easily influenced by what they see online, and think there is no wrong in his actions?

MAN ARRESTED FOR THROWING OFO BIKE OFF 15TH FLOOR

In the latest such incident, a 47 year old man has been arrested for throwing a ofo rental bike down from a HDB block in Upper Boon Keng Road. The bike was thrown down from the 15th floor at block 11 in the early hours of Thursday morning. The man who threw the bike appeared drunk, and he was found sleeping at the corridor of the same floor he had thrown the bike from.

Police received a report on the incident, and arrested the man on the same day. It was fortunate that the killer litter did not hit any unsuspecting passer-by below the block. This is a very serious act of vandalism and killer litter, and it could kill if the bike was thrown to anyone below.

Looks like another of the three new rental bike companies is losing patience with the users. ofo have announced that they will roll out 500 new bikes that have features like smart locks, and they will also upgrade their mobile app that lets their users find the nearest bikes easily.

This can be clearly seen as efforts that the rental bike company are taking steps to address the misuse of their bikes, with the recent number of videos and photos showing the abuse done on the rental bikes. Since the rental bikes were launched, pictures and videos have emerged of the shared bicycles chained up outside Housing Board flats, and thrown into drains.

POLICE REPORT TO BE LODGED OVER VANDALISM OF RENTAL BIKE

It seems like the bike rental company has lost patience with their inconsiderate customers, and they will lodge a police report over one of their rental bikes that was left inside a canal at Punggol.

Such irresponsible individual needs to be flagged, and police should take necessary actions against these people. This is definitely damaging of property, and if cases of vandalised rental bikes remains unchecked, then there will be more and more of such cases.
