SINGLE MOTHER FACES CONSTANT REJECTION FOR HDB PRIORITY DESPITE FINANCIALLY DIRE SITUATION

Since my divorce in 2012, after transferring my 3 room matrimonial flat to my ex spouse, I have been seeking help from hdb, writing to Mr khaw and my MP in yishun to secure a flat for myself and my 2 kids but to no avail. I always get the same replies. Attached are the emails. It speaks all. I am worn out that do not wish to explain further what I have done to try to get a roof over our heads. Till date, i am still renting a flat with my 2 kids. I am so disappointed in them but all I can do is to hope for miracle to happen. This is singapore?

LANDLORD RENTED ROOM TO PRC TENANT, ENDED UP WITH RATS

Since today, wife and I have been living in fear... of RATS! This is all because of the previous tenants, who did not keep the room clean. We regret trusting the owner's words about this place. Story starts when we rented this room, I asked the owner who are the previous tenants. A 69-year-old man is asking to divorce his wife, claiming that he has not had sex with his Chinese wife even a year after their marriage. Shin Min Daily News reported on Saturday that the man, known as Mr Huang, is a retired bus driver, who earns a living by renting out two bedrooms in his three-bedroom flat. His "wife", a woman from China in her 40s, had been renting a room from Mr Huang with her daughter for two years prior to their marriage. A Singaporean’s bad experience renting room to Filipinos

Although we wanted to rent out on a “as it is” condition as my MIL do not want the hacking and noise of installing aircon, we pitied the Filipino ladies who need the place urgently, so we went ahead and had the aircon installed urgently at our cost TRUSTING that we can recover the cost of aircon installation over the term of the 2 year tenancy contract. Three months into the tenancy, these ladies tell my MIL they are moving because they found a cheaper room, one that they claimed is cheaper by $200. They asked my MIL to reduce the rent by $200 or they move!
