FORMER THE REAL SINGAPORE FOUNDER DISPUTES HAN HUI HUI'S PRISON ALLEGATIONS

Yang Kaiheng, the former editor of The Real Singapore has come out to clarify some of his own experiences while serving time in Singapore Prisons. Some people have seen this as a direct rebuttal of some of the things that human rights activist Han Hui Hui has said in a blog post titled, "Alone in cell".

FORMER EDITOR OF THE REAL SINGAPORE, AI TAKAGI SUFFERS MISCARRIAGE WHILE SERVING JAIL SENTENCE

I met Ms Takagi, the former editor of The Real Singapore, at Hong Lim Park today. She had served her jail sentence as was released.

I asked her about her baby. She lost the baby while in prison. I was very sad. How deplorable. Surely the prison authority has the responsibility to provide proper care to a pregnant mother in jail?

Responding to news of The Real Singapore co-founder Yang Kaiheng being sentenced to 8 months imprisonment, Singapore's social media badass Amos Yee had this to say about Yang's situation. He pitied Yang's inability to milk the situation to his advantage to forward his political agenda. Instead he praised himself as being very good in attracting publicity and lamented the lost opportunity to help Yang and his wife Ai Takagi.

TRS FOUNDER YANG KAIHENG CONVICTED FOR 6 CHARGES OF SEDITION

Co-founder of The Real Singapore sociopolitical website Yang Kaiheng was convicted on 6 charges of sedition after he pleaded guilty to the charges. He was initially expected to claim trial to prove his innocence and lack of involvement in the website's operations. In the first tranche of the TRS sedition trial, Yang Kaiheng's wife Ai Takagi pleaded guilty to sedition charges laid against her and appeared to take full responsibility for the alleged crimes committed by TRS. For her admission of guilt, she was sentenced to 10 months jail and is currently serving her sentence.

WITNESS: YANG KAIHENG'S INVOLVEMENT IN TRS WAS NOT FLEETING

According to a former online business partner, K. Sudesh Durai, 26, the co-founder of The Real Singapore (TRS), Yang Kaiheng, 27, was involved in the running of the now-defunct socio-political website for at least a year after its launch in January 2012.

Durai was Yang's former Yishun Junior College schoolmate and a floorball teammate.

In 2012, Durai partnered Yang and Ai Takagi and founded Acreet, a website that partnered with companies to give away vouchers and gifts.

DID POLICE OVERUSE POLICE POWERS IN PURSUIT OF "SEDITIOUS" TRS OWNERS?

During today's sedition trial for alleged TRS owner Yang Kaiheng, it was revealed during cross examination that the police used its powers to research on past TRS civil lawsuits unrelated to the sedition case. The police had hoped to use these unrelated civil lawsuits as evidence when the cases are totally unrelated and could be misconstrued as a blatant abuse of police powers?

THE REAL SINGAPORE OWNER AI TAKAGI JAILED 10 MONTHS FOR SEDITIOUS ARTICLES

23 year old Ai Takagi, owner of the now defunct The Real Singapore (TRS) website was sentenced to 10 months jail after she was found guilty of 4 charges of Sedition. She was alleged to have promoted ill will and hostility between the different races or classes in Singapore with TRS publications which she authored.

MAINSTREAM MEDIA AGAIN DEFAMES THE REAL SINGAPORE OWNER WITH FAKE NEWS STORY

It has come to our attention that our company director, Mr Yang Kaiheng, has again become the target of false and defamatory content published by Singapore Press Holdings. In the Thursday 17th March edition, Shin Min Daily News featured on their newspaper front page an article defaming Mr Yang. The article and accompanying headlines accused Mr Yang of "turning violent and kicking a bus captain". shouting and causing trouble "again". The whole article has been twisted to falsely accuse Mr Yang, who was actually a victim in the incident, as being a random aggressor.

The editors of the The Real Singapore, Ai Takagi and Yang Kaiheng, have been charged with sedition for stirring up ill will between Singaporeans and foreigners. JAP CHIOBU WITH LAW DEGREE TURNS RAMEN HAWKER IN S'PORE: THE TRS STORY

From studying law to selling noodles. Ms Ai Takagi, 22, the founder of now-defunct socio-political website The Real Singapore put aside her studies and chose not to pursue a career in law. Instead, she has decided that she wants to be in the hawker business selling authentic Japanese Ramen in local coffee shops and foodcourts. Ms Takagi and her husband, Mr Yang Kaiheng, started their Ramen business shortly after the MDA shut down The Real Singapore website for ‘causing ill-will’.
