GE2020: Red Dot United Introduces Alec Tok As Fifth Candidate For Jurong GRC

Red Dot United has unveiled its fifth and final candidate for the five-member Jurong GRC. Theatre director Alec Tok Kim Yam, 55, will be joining his peers Secretary-General Ravi Philemon, Chairperson Michelle Lee, entrepreneur Liyana Dhamirah and legal engineer Nicholas Tang. This team includes diverse members with a range of ages, as well as two female candidates who will serve the Jurong residents and citizens to the best of their ability.

GE2020: Red Dot United Unveils Candidates For Jurong GRC

Red Dot United, Singapore's newest political party, has revealed some candidates contesting in the five-member Jurong GRC. Red Dot United shared that three of its five candidates will include Secretary-General Ravi Philemon, Chairperson Michelle Lee, and 33-year-old Ms Liyana Dhamirah. Red Dot United is keen to contest in Jurong GRC because many of its party members grew up there, giving them an affection for this constituency.

GE2020: Red Dot United Approved As Political Party, Ready To Contest

Red Dot United has been successfully registered as a political party on 15 June after submitting its application on 26 May. Red Dot United's Secretary-General Ravi Philemon is keen on fielding candidates this General Elections (GE). With this approval by the Ministry of Home Affairs’ (MHA) Registry of Societies, he believes the party is "even more ready". Red Dot United currently has three office holders: Secretary-General Ravi Philemon, Chairman Michelle Lee, and Treasurer Mr Chia Weng Lee, who is a 53-year-old business owner.

PAP Mole Sabotages Progress Singapore Party With Anonymous Video Alleging Fellow Members of Being Proxies of Foreign Powers

Few days back an Anonymous video was circulating on social media which claims that the party has been infiltrated by foreign proxies. The video also named several PSP members and claimed that they are disrupting PSP from helming the next stage of Singapore. However political veteran Ravi Philemon showed the hypocrisy of certain politicians in a recent Facebook post. Ravi Philemon: 3 Instances Of POFMA Invoked, All Against Articles Critical Of Govt

I am concerned that there have been 3 instances of Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act (POFMA) being invoked - all against articles critical of the government. My view is that POFMA was indeed passed ahead of a General Election which is looming. The Government has a track-record of enacting laws targeting online criticisms and ahead of elections for the last 10 years.
