The days when the Singapore government could simply tell its citizens anything they wanted and force them to believe that they are telling the truth and are doing things "for their own good" are over, it seems. Just take this unfortunate CPF video uploaded on the Singapore Government Facebook for example.

I watched the TV dialogue "Let's Think About It" on Channel 5 today, with new manpower minister Tan Chuan Jin in a talk show with private business owners Michelle Saram, Nachiappan R K Sinniah, Liak Teng Lit, Janice Wong and Loh Lik Peng. As expected, it was a load of bullshit complaints by business owners who basically support the government to open up the labour force to more foreign workers again.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has scaled the country's highest mountain, state-run media said Sunday (Apr 19), arriving at the summit to tell troops that the hike provides mental energy more powerful than nuclear weapons. A photo of the leader of the isolated state showed a smiling and wind-swept Kim standing on a snow-covered mountaintop, the sun rising behind him.

The PAP under Lee Kuan Yew has humiliated Singaporeans for decades but a large number of citizens still paid tribute to him. How did this come about? Since young, Singaporeans have subconsciously been taught to rely on external sources of information, courtesy of the PAP, and have mistaken propaganda for facts.

Please wake up from the Spell of Sympathy as soon as possible. The propaganda you have been seeing and hearing for the whole last week cannot whitewash nor deny the fact that LKY has brought upon Singapore a Dictatorial rule. Don't be fooled by the mere presence of "General Elections". As I have told my Hong Kong friends, Democracy is not just about Universal Suffrage. It is about a whole system built on the basis of Separation of Powers, to effect a true system of Checks and Balances.

The following is the reason why I detest such massive propaganda of distorted historical narratives: I am not going to just shut up when there are so much distorted truth propagated by PAP MSM. It is not even about me. It is about our children and future generations on the learning of our heritage and history.

Lee Kuan Yew is hailed as a great leader of Singapore and credited with the miraculous transformation of Singapore into a developed country. But this is only according the propaganda on mainstream media. More Singaporeans, especially the younger generation, no longer believe in such propaganda and have turned to online media which have become a more trusted source of information. As such, the mainstream media’s popularity and credibility have continue to plummet since the advent of the internet.
